VCU-Richmond Was One Of The Most Exciting College Games Of The Year
Tonight's A-10 showdown between Richmond and VCU had just about everything you'd hope for in a college basketball game: a big comeback, some crazy upsets, an underdog winning, and fans rushing the court.
Down the entire game, VCU roared back from a deficit that was 16 at its largest to tie things up and sent it to overtime, but only after this ShawnDre' Jones's attempted game-winning three bounced, and bounced, and bounced, and finally missed:
With 2.8 seconds left in overtime, Richmond ran a nice inbounds play—and/or VCU completely botched a switch—to tie things back up and force a second overtime:
Richmond finally knocked off the 22nd ranked Rams in the second overtime, and their fans rushed the court:
Meanwhile, people who tuned into ESPN expecting to see Duke at Virginia Tech were VERY upset that it was preempted by A-10 action:
