France Are Wrecking Switzerland, Might Be The Truth
After just barely qualifiying for the World Cup, it looks like France have finally gotten their shit together, and are currently putting the fear of God into Switzerland. They're up 3-0, thanks in part to two goals scored just one minute apart midway through half.
The first came in just the 17th minute from a corner kick. Mathieu Valbuena curled in a ball to the back post, and striker Olivier Giroud skied above everyone to head the ball to the far top corner.
Switzerland kicked off, and immediately turned it over to French striker Karim Benzema, who led the counter attack himself. He dribbled at the Swiss center backs, then laid a nice pass off to a streaking Blaise Matuidi on the left side of the box, who beat the keeper near post for the goal.
Benzema would miss a penalty shortly thereafter, but Valbuena made up for it with a tap-in from a Giroud pass in the 40th minute. Allez.
