Johnny Manziel Signs Contract To Play In Canadian Football League
credits: Stephen Brashear | source: [object Object] Johnny Manziel, a prolific college quarterback whose career was put on hold for two years of mandatory service in the Cleveland Browns organization, will finally experience what it means to play for a professional football team:
Manziel will play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who offered Manziel a contract back in January, then appeared to break off negotiations in February. Manziel threw for NFL scouts at the University of San Diego’s pro day in March, but apparently no NFL opportunities presented themselves, and so Manziel’s first taste of real professional football will now come via the Canadian Football League.
