LeBron James played one of the best games of his career last night, which is saying something, because he is LeBron James. He shot 56 percent from the field and finished with 35 points, seven boards, and zero turnovers. The Heat will go to Boston for Games 3 and 4 of this series, which should have some influence; the Celtics are 33-8 at the Garden this season. Still, both Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett haven't even broken 20 points in a game this series, while James and Dwyane Wade have combined for 123 of Miami's 201 total points, and they still have guys like James Jones coming off the bench to score 25. And forced somersaults, historically, don't do well for a team's self-esteem. The Heat are finally, at long last, rolling, and it's at a bad time for the addled C's.
"That is the vision I had during the free-agent period when I decided to come here," James said after last night's game. "It's all coming together at the right time."
