bet365 has expanded its U.S. footprint with the launch of its online sportsbook in Washington, D.C. The operator announced its D.C. launch on Tuesday alongside a new multi-year partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE).
The agreement will give bet365 a heavy marketing presence around several of the city’s professional sports teams, including the Capitals and Wizards. It also continues a recent stretch of U.S. expansion for bet365, following a launch in West Virginia.
D.C. bettors can now access bet365’s online sportsbook, including pregame and live betting markets across more than 100 sports.
The launch adds another operator to an increasingly competitive D.C. mobile sports betting market. The District changed its sports wagering framework in 2024 to allow additional private operators to offer mobile betting throughout the city. Other operators in D.C. include FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM.
bet365 is entering the market shortly after it recently launched its platform in West Virginia. It’s worth noting that both the sportsbook and online casino are available in West Virginia, but only the sportsbook is live in D.C.
Alongside the sportsbook launch, bet365 has signed a multi-year partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
The agreement makes bet365 a partner of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, and WNBA’s Washington Mystics. The partnership will provide the operator with exposure across team broadcasts and Monumental Sports Network.
bet365 branding will appear through virtual signage during Capitals games. It will also be shown in commercials during Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics broadcasts.
On top of that, bet365 will become a sponsor of Monumental Game Center. This allows viewers to add real-time sports betting odds and other interactive elements while streaming games through Monumental Sports Network.
The agreement gives bet365 a direct connection to local sports fans as it attempts to gain market share in a competitive U.S. market.
One of bet365’s standout offers, now available in Washington, D.C., is its Early Payout. This promo settles qualifying bets as winners once a team reaches a certain lead, even if that team ends up losing the game.
For qualifying NBA bets, bet365 pays out once a team goes ahead by 20 points. The threshold is 18 points for WNBA games and three goals for NHL games. Once the requirement is reached, the bet is graded as a winner regardless of the final score.
This can help separate bet365 from competitors because it gives bettors a chance to have a wager settled as a win before the game is over.
bet365 is also bringing its Early Bird Special to D.C. The promotion provides a profit boost for Sunday NFL games one hour before the first game kicks off.
