
BetMGM is now offering mobile and retail sports betting to Missouri residents. It’s one of the brands that went live early Monday morning, 12:01 CT to be exact, when the Missouri sports betting market officially launched.
This brings the total to 30 markets where BetMGM has mobile and retail offerings. The newest BetMGM retail sportsbook opened at Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau. It’s part of the operator’s market access deal with Century Casinos. Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) rules require sportsbooks to partner with a land-based casino or pro sports team. The rule didn’t apply to DraftKings or Circa, the two brands that landed untethered licenses.
BetMGM has been preparing to enter the Show Me State since 2022. As an official sports betting partner of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, the company will continue bringing exclusive promotions and experiences for fans.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt spoke about how BetMGM is thrilled to introduce a wide range of entertainment offerings through its Missouri mobile app and new retail sportsbook.
“As a partner of the Kansas City Chiefs and with St. Louis native Jon Hamm as our ambassador, BetMGM is bringing the thrill of Las Vegas to the Show-Me State,” Greenblatt said.
Missouri sports bettors can now earn BetMGM Rewards points and MGM Rewards credits with every sports wager. Those points and credits can be redeemed for sports bonus bets, odds boosts, and No Sweat tokens. Saving them for a future stay at MGM Resorts properties across the country.
The new player welcome offer is up to $1,500 in bonus bets. If the first bet doesn’t win, customers will receive bonus bets equal to the stake. A minimum $10 deposit is required. The bonus bets will expire in seven days.
The Century Casino Cape Girardeau retail sportsbook opened Monday at 11 a.m. CT. The property website lists 11 p.m. CT as the daily closing time.
As for what the space includes, guests can enjoy a full bar and a sportsbook-exclusive menu. There are dozens of HD screens to enjoy Chiefs, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Royals, and St. Louis Cardinals games. The space also includes self-service BetMGM betting kiosks.
Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Century Casinos released a joint statement regarding the comprehensive and seamless sports betting experience that’s now available to guests.
“We believe these new services strengthen our property’s market position and will introduce new customers to Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau,” Haitzmann and Hoetzinger said.
Besides BetMGM, DraftKings, Circa, FanDuel, Fanatics, Caesars, bet365, and theScore Bet are the other Missouri sports betting apps now live.
The Missouri sports betting launch coincides with the date of ESPN Bet transitioning to theScore Bet. Before Penn Entertainment and Disney (parent company of ESPN) mutually agreed to end their partnership, ESPN Bet had received a temporary license from the MGC. Penn Entertainment owns theScore Bet.
Underdog is another operator that received a green light to go live in Missouri. The company called an audible last week as Underdog decided to exit the state prior to launch day. This means the sports betting license connected to MLB’s Kansas City Royals is once again available.
