Circa Sports is strengthening its ties to Major League Baseball with a new partnership involving the Athletics. The team announced a multi-year agreement with Circa Resort & Casino and Circa Sports on Thursday, making Circa its first Founding Partner. Circa Resort & Casino will also become an official resort of the Athletics, while Circa Sports will serve as an official sportsbook as the A’s prepare to open their new Las Vegas ballpark in 2028.

Circa becomes Athletics’ first Founding Partner

The new Circa Athletics partnership builds on an existing relationship. Circa has supported the Athletics during the team’s temporary stay in West Sacramento, where the A’s are playing before their planned move to Las Vegas. The two sides previously agreed to a three-year partnership that included Circa branding at Sutter Health Park, watch parties in Las Vegas, and other promotions.

Athletics President Marc Badain said Circa’s ties to Las Vegas made it a natural fit as the team’s first Founding Partner.

Circa CEO Derek Stevens also has a long connection to baseball. Stevens has supported bringing MLB to Las Vegas for years and previously owned the Las Vegas 51s minor-league team. The new agreement now gives his resort and sportsbook a major role with the city’s incoming MLB franchise.

Partnership includes new fan experiences

One of the biggest features will be the Circa Dugout Box, a premium hospitality area connected directly to the Athletics’ dugout. The 22-seat space will put guests close to the players and game action instead of offering the more isolated experience of a traditional suite.

Circa will also introduce “Time of Your Life” seats in the outfield. Those tickets will be available through hotel packages that combine a stay at Circa Resort & Casino with an Athletics game.

That makes sense for a company with both a sportsbook and a major Las Vegas resort. Instead of simply putting the Circa name around the ballpark, the partnership gives visitors a way to connect a hotel stay with a night at an A’s game.

Circa Sports continues MLB push

The Athletics aren’t Circa Sports’ only MLB partner.

Earlier this year, Circa became the Kansas City Royals’ official sports betting partner after entering Missouri’s newly launched betting market.

The Royals betting partnership includes Circa Sports branding at Kauffman Stadium and fan experiences tied to the team.

Now with the A’s, it’s clear that Circa has emphasized MLB as its partner.

Athletics deal strengthens Circa’s Las Vegas presence

Circa already has a strong sports identity in Las Vegas through its downtown resort, sportsbook, Stadium Swim, and football contests. Circa Sports also operates sportsbooks in six states. The Athletics deal gives the company another way to build on that.

The Royals partnership showed how Circa can use an MLB team to build awareness in a newer sports betting market. Its deal with the Athletics expands on that, tying together the sportsbook, resort, and a franchise getting ready to complete its relocation to Las Vegas.
