FanDuel is giving bettors another way to track their wagers during NFL games. The sportsbook has added live bet tracking to Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, allowing users to see the status of their bets while watching the game. Bettors can connect their FanDuel and Prime Video accounts to access the feature, although bets still have to be placed through FanDuel. This integration gives FanDuel another way to enhance the user experience during the NFL season.
Once a user connects their FanDuel account to Prime Video, active NFL wagers can appear on-screen during Thursday Night Football. Bettors can follow their wagers as the game plays out, including whether a bet is still active or has already been settled.
Prime Video can also show a rotating feed of FanDuel odds and probabilities for markets such as spreads, totals, parlays, and more.
The one limitation with this integration is that users still must log into FanDuel to place new wagers. But having this tracking tool during Prime Video broadcasts makes it easier to follow bets while watching Thursday Night Football.
The Prime Video integration follows a similar strategy to FanDuel’s recent Real App partnership. Real App has more than 1.5 million monthly active users and gives sports fans a place to follow games, stats, and player performances while discussing the action in real time.
FanDuel odds and markets are being integrated into areas such as game feeds, player pages, and more. That deal gives FanDuel exposure while users are already following sports instead of relying on them to open the sportsbook on their own.
Prime Video gives the company another opportunity to do that on an even bigger stage. Thursday Night Football is one of the NFL’s primetime games, so putting live bet information directly alongside the game enables easier access for FanDuel’s existing users.
FanDuel has also been making changes within its sportsbook to give bettors more reasons to use the platform. One recent example is Bet Protect+, which provides protection on eligible wagers when a player gets injured and does not return to the game.
The feature normally comes with an additional 3% fee, but FanDuel made Bet Protect+ free for eligible NFL bets throughout September.
Injury protection addresses a common frustration for sports bettors, particularly those placing player props and Same Game Parlays. Features like Bet Protect+ give FanDuel another way to differentiate the actual betting experience.
The Prime Video integration is similar to Bet Protect+ in that it makes the betting experience more enjoyable for users.
NFL season is the busiest time of year on the sports betting calendar, so operators like FanDuel continue to look for ways to innovate to set themselves apart from the competition.
With Prime Video integration for Thursday Night Football, FanDuel is hoping to not only enhance the experience for existing users, but entice more players to join their site after seeing FanDuel odds while watching the game.
