The cease-and-desist letters went to these specific sites: 7 Bit Casino, Avia Games Inc., Grande Vegas Casino, High Country Casino, i Net Bet, Liberty Slots Casino, Lincoln Casino, Lucky Hippo Casino, Miami Club Casino, PrimaPlay Casino, Slot Madness, Slots Plus Casino, Sun Palace Casino, Vegas Casino Online, and Vegas2Web Casino.
Each was found running casino games or betting options illegally. The MGCB has ordered them to stop all Michigan-related activities right away. If they ignore this, the board may team up with the Michigan Attorney General for tougher steps, including legal charges.

While clamping down on illegal gambling sites, Michigan’s legal online gaming sector is thriving. In June 2025, internet gaming and sports betting operators reported $285.2 million in combined gross receipts. This marked the state’s second-highest monthly total ever.
Compared to June 2024, adjusted gross receipts (AGR) jumped about 88%, driven by strong iGaming growth of 37.3% and a turnaround in sports betting from a previous deficit. iGaming AGR hit $226 million, while sports betting added $30.5 million.
Recent trends show some ups and downs. June’s total dipped 5.4% from May’s $301.43 million high. Still, the year-over-year surge from June 2024 to 2025 signals steady expansion in the legal space. As of August 2025, July online figures aren’t out yet, but land-based casinos in Detroit saw a 5.6% monthly revenue boost to $107 million, hinting at broader industry strength.
