  • The $258.9 million is ahead of 2025 start
  • iGaming sector outperformed Atlantic City market for third-straight month
  • FanDuel Casino led all operators with $58.9-million month

New Jersey online casinos have started 2026 strong as the sector reported $258.9 million in January revenue. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement report shows that the sector is up 16.8% from the $221.6 million earned in January 2025.

This marks the third-straight month that Garden State iGaming outperformed Atlantic City’s nine casinos. Gaming revenue from slots and table games was $213.3 million, up only 1.6% from the same period last year.

While iGaming showed solid year-over-year growth, the result did not set a new monthly record. December’s $273.2 million still holds the top spot. Prior to that, the $260.3 earned in October 2025 was the previous record.

January’s results generated $57.4 million in New Jersey iGaming taxes.

FanDuel Casino leads pack with nearly $59M month

FanDuel Casino, which operates under the Golden Nugget license, was once again the top-performing brand with $58.9 million, good enough for an 18.5% year-over-year increase. DraftKings Casino, $48.6 million, BetMGM, $33.8 million, Borgata online casino, $21 million, and Caesars Palace online casino, $18.3 million rounded out the top five.

The table below provides a year-over-year comparison of the top-performing NJ online casinos.

Outside of the top five, the monthly performance by BetFanatics is noteworthy as the brand only earned $3.5 million for the same period last year. It continues the operator’s upward trajectory from 2025 in which it showed a 313.7% year-over-year increase.

Growing popularity of NJ online casinos

January is a slower month for New Jersey land-based casinos due to the colder weather conditions and it being considered offseason at the Jersey Shore. The month also included a major winter storm that amounted to significant snow accumulation.

AC casinos do see a portion of the online casino revenue through partnerships with individual operators. FanDuel, BetRivers, and Golden Nugget online casinos, for example, all have market access via the Golden Nugget AC license.

Jane Bokunewicz, faculty director at Stockton University School of Business, shared some thoughts regarding the ongoing online casino revenue trend.

“Internet gaming continues to grow in popularity among gamblers, and as it more frequently surpasses brick-and-mortar gaming revenues on a monthly basis it becomes more important than ever as a revenue stream,”  Bokunewicz said.
