Revenue from online and mobile sports wagering in New York reached $231.6 million in November, setting a new monthly record in the process.
At the same time, the NY sports betting handle reached $2.27 billion. This shows an increase on the November 2023 figure, but it hasn’t matched the all-time state record.
To qualify just how impressive the November revenue and handle figures were, let’s take a look at them compared to other record-setting figures since mobile sports wagering was legalized in the Empire State in January 2022.
The $231.6 million total online sports betting revenue is the key figure here and by far the most impressive. It marks a 9.5% increase on the previous record, which was $211.5 million, set in January 2024.
Additionally, it is more than double the revenue of November 2023 and has increased by 31.4% compared to October. However, we should caveat this last stat with the fact that Thanksgiving NFL games tend to see sports betting revenue rise across the US in November vs October.

DraftKings might have a regal name, but FanDuel is the sportsbook currently wearing the Statue of Liberty Crown in the Empire State. The November numbers show FanDuel being around $25 better off than DraftKings in terms of revenue, with a hold of 10.34% compared to 8.59%.
Elsewhere, ESPN Bet, one of the newest mobile sportsbooks in the state, enjoyed its best month yet, with a $47.6 million handle, $4.3 million in revenue, and a 9.03% hold. Despite this, it just missed out on making the top five performers for the month, sitting in 6th spot.
Also among the top performers were BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook, with revenues of $14.4 million and $14.2 million respectively.

November’s record-setting revenue and impressive handle will be hard to beat in New York this December. Traditionally Thanksgiving football tends to give sports betting handles a bigger boost across the US than the Christmas Day games.
However, there’s always a chance that the Netflix NFL broadcast could appeal to more potential Holiday Season bettors than in previous years.
