According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, there was a 15.4% year-over-year increase for iGaming revenue in June 2025. Both retail and online slots were the main drivers of growth. Sports betting also showed improvement this month, despite being in the usual summer slowdown, where revenue is at annual lows.
The majority of overall iGaming revenue came from the top three casino operators, including Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, Valley Forge Casino Resort, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
| Top 5 Casino Operators | Online Slots Revenue | Online Tables Revenue | Total Online Casino Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course | $57.5 million | $22.9 million | $81.0 million |
| Valley Forge Casino Resort | $44.6 million | $14.8 million | $59.3 million |
| Rivers Casino Philadelphia | $31.3 million | $3.5 million | $35.2 million |
| Harrah’s Philadelphia | $7.4 million | $2.3 million | $10.6 million |
| Parx Casino | $4.4 million | $0.76 million | $5.2 million |
Each of the top two operators showed significant year-over-year growth, with Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course (35.5%) and Valley Forge Casino Resort (56.5%) continuing to dominate market share.
Despite the overall growth in the Pennsylvania market, there has been a shift in consumer behavior within this space.
Pennsylvania users prefer to play their favorite casino games online. This is seen in the year-over-year revenue results.
Retail slots went from $201.0 million in revenue in June 2024 to $199.3 million this year, showing a slight decline. Conversely, online slots increased from $119.4 million to $162.2 million.
The same can be said for table games. At retail locations, table games went from $76.1 million to $77.3 million, while online platforms reported 35.9% growth, from $39.0 million to $47.6 million. These figures represent a trend that is likely to continue: users would rather play casino games on mobile.
Sports betting also showed strong results in June. The Pennsylvania market showed a 4.1% year-over-year increase in sports betting handle and an impressive 71.4% increase in revenue.
FanDuel, which is partnered with Valley Forge Casino Resort, paced the market for June. This was followed by Hollywood Casino at The Meadows (partnered with DraftKings).
