LeSean McCoy On Riley Cooper: "I Can't Respect A Guy Like That"

The Philadelphia Eagles are doing their best to cut the wires on the improvised bomb in the middle of their locker room. Mike Vick on Riley Cooper: "I know what type of person he is." Kurt Coleman: "I'll have his back." Jason Avant: "He's not racist."
But while all appears to be forgiven in South Philly, all is decidedly not well. Today, LeSean McCoy spoke with reporters and didn't try to hide his feelings:
Florio compiled a few additional thoughts McCoy shared this afternoon with a couple of the other beat guys:
Per Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com, McCoy said he wonders whether Cooper’s “true colors” came through in the moment captured by a hand-held phone’s video camera.
“I forgave Riley,” McCoy added, via Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “It’s new. I hope it wears off. At this point, I speak for myself and other teammates, I know it’s different.”
McLane's story in the Inquirer also includes a few quotes from two players who spoke freely on condition of anonymity:
“I’ll tell you one thing, if it was Andy Reid, he would have gotten more than a fine,” the player said on the condition of anonymity. Another veteran Eagles player said that he could not get past Cooper using the n-word and that he didn’t think he would ever speak to him again.
“The coaches are saying we should think team first, but this is just crazy,” the player said. “Was he thinking about the team when he said that?”
Per McLane, McCoy also said, "I didn’t see too many people speak to him today." Something tells me Riley Cooper's going to have a very long season.
