Michael Vick On The Eagles: "I Think We Have A Chance To Develop A Dynasty"
Nobody wins the Super Bowl in July quite like the Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe that's what Michael Vick was really getting at when he said this yesterday in an interview with CSN Philly:
"When I look at our football team and what we have on paper, I think about when I was growing up and the great San Francisco 49er teams, the great Green Bay Packer teams, and the great Dallas Cowboy teams, how they just positioned themselves to compete and be one of the best teams out there," Vick said.
"I think we have a chance to be that. I think we have a chance to develop a dynasty."
Winning multiple Super Bowls doesn't constitute a dynasty, you know. Never mind that the Eagles have never won one, either. It was around this time last year that Vince Young had used the phrase "Dream Team" after Philly's big free-agent haul. We're not talking about anything real here. We're talking about what's on paper, in the middle of the summer. And someone who plays for the Eagles has cloaked them in hyperbolic glory, and for the second year in a row. Which makes them a true dynasty in the making.
