Arena Club is a premier card break site where you can rip Pokémon, One Piece, NBA, and MLB trading cards alongside other sports and brands and I’ve had the pleasure of testing it out over the last few weeks.

This has led me to create a complete Arena Club review, and from my initial findings, I think this is one of the more diverse card break sites out today. If you read on, I’ll dive into their Slab Packs, look at what you can pull, and see how Arena Club works.

About Arena Club

The basic premise of Arena Club

The basic premise of Arena Club is simple – you buy Slab Packs ranging from $25-$2,500, and within each pack, you pull a single trading card from a potential pool of drops. The Slab Packs are available in multiple different rarities, and as the price increases, so do your chance of pulling rarer, and more valuable cards from popular sports and TCG series.

After doing a quick scan of the site, a few things stood out to me:

  1. Arena Club only features PSA-graded cards.
  2. There is also a trading marketplace.
  3. You can keep your cards in a digital showroom, or get them shipped home.

Sports Cards

With the sports trading cards you’ve got MLB, NFL, NBA, and Soccer – I’m a lifelong NBA fan so I spent a lot of time checking these packs out. You’ve got a range of different series from various eras – I was most impressed with the KABOOM series from Panini as I’ve always loved the cartoon style of these cards.

You’ve got all the top superstars from both the past and present too, for instance with the NBA cards you can pull everyone from Michael Jordan and LeBron James to Wilt Chamberlain and Larry Bird. In terms of rarity and percentages, there’s different percentage chances depending on the pack tier, but this is an example of the legendary NBA packs:

Legendary Basketball Slab Pack – $2,500
CardRarityPercentage
Michael Jordan – Upper Deck Ultimate Leadership AutographsGrail0.04%
LeBron James – Upper Deck Trilogy Auto FocusChase0.22%
Stephen Curry – Bowman – 2009 BlueLineup1.96%

TCG Cards

If you are not a sports fan then you can buy TCG Slab Packs which include Pokémon, One Piece, and Disney. I loved checking out the Pokémon section as I used to trade these as a kid – they’ve got both new and vintage mints including all-time favorites like the original starter Pokémon evolutions of Charizard, Blastoise, and Venasaur.

I’m not as familiar with One Piece or Disney, but similar to the sports cards, there are pack tiers ranging from the $25 basic packs, up to the $1,000 Diamond packs, and the pull percentages vary based on the rarity of the pack. I’ve given an example of one of the packs and some of their contents in the table below:

Silver Pokémon Slab Pack – $50

Pikachu – 2019 S&M Base #241Grail0.01%
Charizard VMAX Darkness AblazeChase0.25%

What Can You Do With Your Cards?

It’s all good knowing the different potential cards you can get from the Slab Packs, but what can you actually do with them afterwards at Arena Club? I was happy to see that they offer a range of different services relating to cards, including a marketplace, auctions, and even a card-grading service.

Displaying your cards via a digital showroom

As soon as I opened any of the Slab Packs, the card I got was put into my collection/showroom. Your showroom is basically where you can brag about your epic card collection and show your uber-rare pulls.

It’s possible to customize your showroom and create different collections within it – for example, you might want to showcase your collection of Charizard Pokémon cards. I also like the fact that you can view other people’s showrooms, and there’s an entire page with a search functionality – I enjoyed looking at some of the sports superstar’s collections.

Retrieving your physical cards

Every card that you get from a Slab Pack or the Marketplace at Arena Club, you can get shipped to your address if you wish. You simply have to go into your account, select the retrieve option, and you can then pick up to 20 cards at once to be shipped to whatever address you want. In terms of shipping speed, they have a 4 business day fulfillment guarantee for deliveries of up to 20 cards which I think is pretty good. In terms of shipping locations, they deliver to loads of countries – for a full list you should check the FAQ section of their site.

Trading and selling on the marketplace

Like many of the other best card rip sites, Arena Club has a marketplace where you can buy and sell cards with other collectors. It’s pretty straightforward – you can search for specific items, plus there’s categories for auctions, premier auctions, and fixed price deals. For each listing, you’ve then got a host of information such as the PSA grading details, the price, and transaction history of the card.

Get your cards graded

Lastly, if you have some trading cards at home that you’ve been holding onto, you can send them off to Arena Club to be properly graded by the relevant services (PSA, AC, BGS, SGC & CGC). You can then either get your graded card added to your vault/showroom, or have it delivered back to your address with the relevant grading certification.

Payment Methods

Similar to other mystery box sites that I’ve tested, Arena Club allows you to purchase packs and trade on their marketplace using a decent set of payment methods, including AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and debit card. Crypto is also an alternative option, mainly via USD Coin payments, and from my experience, you should be able to link a range of popular wallets including MetaMask, Coinbase, and Ledger.

I’ve never had any problems with purchasing packs and trading on the MP, and whenever I’ve gone to make a withdrawal from a sale, it’s been processed in a maximum of 2 business days – I do think this could be better, but it’s at least acceptable. In terms of fees, there is only ever a Stripe transaction fee which is charged on purchases, and retrieval fees when you want cards delivered to your home address.

Bonuses and Promotions

Bonuses and Promotions

As I mentioned in my Arena Club promo code guide, I didn’t really find any bonuses or promos here. There’s nothing like a loyalty program that I could see – everything is straightforward, and I believe the emphasis is more about the pack contents, the ripping and trading experience, and the different card series.

The only potential thing that I have seen is a 20% discount on your first Slab Pack purchase as a new customer. There could be an Arena Club promo code for this, but I personally wasn’t able to unlock that offer, so it may only be available in specific regions.

Overall Experience

Next up, I wanted to review the actual experience using the site and overall, I believe Arena Club has done a fantastic job of giving users an exciting pack ripping experience, plus an intuitive website and mobile apps that really allow you to get the most out of your card collections.

📦 Pack ripping

I like the visual design of the different packs – the names are pretty boring and nothing special, but the artwork looks cool, and they give you a smooth pack opening animation to reveal your card. I also love the fact that there is full transparency relating to the potential pack’s contents and the percentage chance you have for the different rarity drops.

💻 Desktop website

I spent most of this Arena Club review using the desktop website – I prefer it to the mobile apps. It’s technically sound with fast page speeds, and all the graphical elements look fantastic – it feels like a polished site. In terms of usability I never had any problems either – everything is explained in detail as a new customer, you can easily search the marketplace and Slab Packs, and managing your collection and account is also a breeze.

📱 Mobile apps

Arena Club has two mobile apps and I downloaded the Android version from the Play Store which has a 4.4 star rating. It’s great! They’ve done a great job of porting the desktop version, and while I preferred the website, I can see how the mobile app is naturally more intuitive for viewing cards and looking at your collection, purely due to the portrait orientation.

Is Arena Club Safe and Legit?

Transparency and legitimacy is paramount for me whenever I’m checking out the best card rip sites – this is why I typically stay away from random live stream pulls and stick to known brands like Arena Club. From my research with this brand, I was pretty confident with what I found – it helps that they have partnerships with eBay, Yahoo! Coinbase, OpenSea, and several sports teams, but as you can see below, they also have a strict KYC process and pretty good transparency regarding pack contents and grading.

Account verification and KYC

First up, when I created my Arena Club account, I noticed that they have several verification processes, which can include a smartphone verification during the initial registration form. Additionally, I had to go through a series of ID checks, plus complete my profile information – this gave me confidence in terms of anti-fraud measures.

Pack transparency and grading

I was also pleased to see that each Slab Pack has a full breakdown of every potential pull that you can get, together with the percentage chance that you will pull it. Alongside that, there is a photo of the actual card inside its PSA sleeve complete with all the relevant grading information at the top.

There’s basically no gray area relating to what you could potentially get from the packs. Lastly, I also saw that whether it’s Disney trading cards, NBA cards, or One Piece, Arena Club Slab Packs ONLY have PSA-graded cards.

Arena Club is offering an excellent service

After finishing my Arena Club review I was pretty damn impressed with the site and what it offers. I think it does a great job of providing features and tools for virtually every aspect of the card collecting process – you get the thrill of opening the Slab Packs with the chance of epic rare pulls, and you’ve then got the flexibility to either take the buy-back offer, get your card delivered home, or list in on the Arena Club marketplace.

The coverage in terms of card variety is diverse too, and while I personally spent most of the time checking out the NBA cards, I think they cover the other popular series like MLB, NFL, Pokémon, and One Piece properly. Overall, I can’t fault this site at all – I think it has the potential to appeal to both new and veteran collectors alike, and if you fancy trying it out for yourself, you can click any of the relevant banners on this page.
