Monster, styled as MNSTR, is a digital mystery pack platform that launched in 2025. A friend introduced me to the site, and after trying it out, I wrote this MNSTR review to explain how everything works.

For starters, MNSTR is suitable if you’re looking to rip Pokémon and One Piece trading cards. Also, the platform is crypto-friendly and runs on the MegaETH blockchain network. Once you rip packs, you can sell the cards back to the platform or have them shipped to your address. Keep reading to find out more details from my review.

About MNSTR

MNSTR follows the usual pattern on other platforms I’ve tested, where you purchase a mystery pack and rip it open to collect trading cards. All MNSTR rips are randomized with upfront odds, and the reveal is instant.

After the rip, the platform sends the trading cards to your vault. You can choose to have the slab delivered to your location in the US or sell it back and get cash. If it’s the latter, you can withdraw the funds.

In my opinion, MNSTR is unique because it’s built on the MegaETH network. Your ownership of the collectibles is recorded through the platform’s blockchain and not just on a database. Other sites offering digital mystery boxes don’t offer that.

What Can You Rip on MNSTR?

While making this review, I found packs with Pokémon and One Piece trading cards on MNSTR. Those are the two main categories, although the platform is set to introduce NBA, NFL, and MLB trading cards in sports mystery packs.

Here’s the summary:

Pack types

At MNSTR, I found different pack types with fixed price points for each trading card category. For instance, Pokémon has four types, including:

  1. Starter: $50
  2. Great: $100
  3. Monster: $250
  4. Ultra: $1,250

On the other hand, I saw these two for One Piece:

  1. Adventure: $150
  2. Outlaw: $500

The pack type you select determines the number of available cards, which also affects the pull probabilities. To illustrate, I saw 461 trading cards in the Pokémon Starter pack and 263 in the Great pack at the time of my review. MNSTR updates its collection, so the figures can change.

Card tiers

As usual, the trading cards in MNSTR digital mystery packs have varying tiers tied to their rarity. Here’s the ranking:

  1. Common
  2. Uncommon
  3. Rare
  4. Epic
  5. Legendary

Each time I select a MNSTR pack, I always see the potential value of each card tier based on the price. For example, here are the possible values for collectibles in the Pokémon Monster pack that costs $250:

  • Common: $133 to $250
  • Uncommon: $250 to $500
  • Rare: $500 to $1,000
  • Epic: $1,000 to $2,500
  • Legendary: $2,500+

Within the pack page, you can also select a trading card and view its details directly. The cards have captured images, which show that they physically exist.

Pack odds

Different trading cards in MNSTR packs have their individual odds. The site also displays odds by card tier. Exact probabilities vary for each pack, but Common cards always have the highest rate. You have better odds of pulling a Rare, Epic, or Legendary collectible with more expensive packs, which is the norm.

I selected the $500 One Piece Outlaw mystery pack, and here’s what I found:

  • Common: 72.64%
  • Uncommon: 20.97%
  • Rare: 5.13%
  • Epic: 1.15%
  • Legendary: 0.11%

The most valuable pull from the pack was a 2024 ONE PIECE EMPERORS IN THE NEW WORLD card with a 0.01% estimated probability. In contrast, the least valuable was a 2024 ONE PIECE JAPANESE PREMIUM BOOSTER card with 2.2% odds.

Fair market value (FMV)

MNSTR displays the FMV of each trading card upfront before you rip a pack. That way, you can know the potential worth of your pull. I observed that the value often changes because it’s based on real-time market data.

Sealed packs and blind drops

I consider sealed mystery packs as one of the best features on MNSTR. These are Dutch auction mystery packs with falling prices, which any user can purchase. When the auction begins, the price of the pack drops by $5 every two seconds.

At any point, you can hit Lock in to secure your preferred price and pay to rip. However, you miss out if someone else locks in before you. I’ve used many digital mystery pack and card break sites, and Dutch auctions like this are rare.

In my MNSTR review, I also encountered blind drops on the site. These are still Dutch auctions, but the difference is that the packs and potential cards are kept secret until the drop ends.

What Can You Do With Your Cards?

MNSTR has a secure vault where your trading cards stay after ripping a pack. You can leave them there to build a digital collection or choose one of the following options:

💰 Selling Back

You can sell back your pulled cards to MNSTR for 85% of their FMV. In one instance, I ripped a Great pack and got a 2025 Pokémon PRE EN-PRISMATIC EVOLUTIONS card worth $180. Then, I sold it to MNSTR for $153. The process is instant, and you’ll see money in your wallet balance within seconds.

📦 Shipping

MNSTR can send the physical trading cards to your location if you request shipping. The main requirement here is to fill out your delivery details in your account settings area. However, shipping isn’t free. I confirmed that MNSTR charges a flat $20 shipping fee and a $5 handling fee per card in the US. The platform doesn’t specify estimated delivery times, but you can track your delivery until it arrives.

🛒 Marketplace

On the MNSTR site, I was impressed to see a marketplace for selling cards. You can list your collectibles in the section for other users to buy and pay cash, which goes to your MNSTR wallet balance. The platform will internally transfer the trading card from your account to that of the buyer once the sale is completed.

Payment Methods

As a MNSTR user, you have two options for buying mystery packs. You either pay and rip packs directly or first fund your account and use your balance. I prefer the latter, as it’s much faster at the point of purchase. Nevertheless, I tested both during this Monster Cards review.

You can pay for packs using credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay if you prefer fiat money. Alternatively, you either transfer crypto to the platform’s wallet address or link a wallet. For funding your account balance, only crypto payments are supported.

I must stress that MNSTR only supports USDm, a native stablecoin of the MegaETH blockchain. If you don’t have the stablecoin, you can still transfer from a compatible EVM or Solana wallet, and the platform will bridge the coins to USDm on MegaETH.

Payouts

At MNSTR, withdrawals work only with cryptocurrencies. Again, you have to either provide a USDm MegaETH wallet or a compatible alternative where the coins can be bridged.

Based on my tests, MNSTR payouts usually take within 30 seconds. However, crypto payments may occasionally take longer if there’s network congestion. Also, the platform doesn’t have withdrawal charges, but you’ll pay standard blockchain fees.

Bonuses and Promotions

MNSTR offers a boosted buyback welcome bonus to new collectors. In other words, you can sell your ripped trading card for more than 85% of its FMV on your first rip. After creating my account, I saw the following boosts for different pack types:

PackBoosted buyback
Pokémon Starter86%
Pokémon Great89%
Pokémon Monster92%
Pokémon Ultra95%
One Piece Adventure93%
One Piece Outlaw94%

I didn’t use a MNSTR promo code to activate any of the offers, and you also won’t need one. Just rip your first pack, and the boost will automatically apply.

Below are other promotional offers I saw on MNSTR:

Dupe Shield

Throughout my review, I saw the Dupe Shield label on select Pokémon Starter and Great MNSTR packs. It applies if you rip a card with a lower value than what you paid. If you’ve already pulled that card before, the platform will give you a free mystery pack of the same type.

Weekly leaderboard

As I ripped, sold, and bought trading cards on MNSTR, I received points to climb the weekly leaderboard. Specifically, the platform gives 1 point for every $1 in each activity. The more points you accumulate, the higher your position on the leaderboard.

At the end of the week, MNSTR awards free mystery packs to the top 10 users, then the rankings reset. From my checks, the top three receive Pokémon Monster packs, while 4-10 positions get Starter packs.

Referral rewards

The MNSTR referral program is linked to the leaderboard. If you invite friends to the site, you’ll get 5% of every point they make. Therefore, you can climb the weekly rankings without ripping any card yourself.

I invited friends to MNSTR by sharing my referral link with them. What I love most about the program is that there are no limits.

Overall Experience

On my first visit to the MNSTR website, I could instantly tell it’s crypto-first. The brand uses a gothic font for its logo, while the body text is monospace and sans-serif. It’s not a common appearance you see on One Piece or Japanese Pokémon sites for ripping cards.

Color-wise, MNSTR features a dark theme with yellow accents. I appreciate the contrast, as it makes spotting menu options and buttons easy. Furthermore, MNSTR has a single interface for ripping packs. You simply click on a PC or use a drop-down menu on mobile to select your preferred category or pack type.

Speaking of mobile, MNSTR doesn’t have an app yet. I used the platform via my smartphone browser and didn’t have issues with browsing, making payments, or ripping packs.

Customer service and community

Support is one area where MNSTR falls short. On the site, I didn’t see live chat or a dedicated customer service email.

Also, there’s no help center, and the home page only covers a few FAQs about MNSTR rips, packs, cards, and shipping. In my experience, the best way to get help as a MNSTR user is by joining the Discord community.

Registration

MNSTR has a fast sign-up process, which I completed within 30 seconds. These are the steps to take:

  1. Click the banners on this page to visit MNSTR

  2. Tap Sign In on the homepage

  3. Choose registration via email, X, or crypto wallet

  4. Complete the next step based on your selected method and submit

  5. Sign in to your account

That’s all, and you can fund your account to purchase packs or directly pay and rip them.

Is MNSTR Safe and Legit?

My assessment shows that MNSTR is a legit digital mystery pack site. The primary evidence is that the trading cards are professionally graded by renowned companies such as PSA, CGC, and BGS. They’re not raw collectibles.

Furthermore, MNSTR stores the cards in a secure vault after you rip them for safety. The site doesn’t have a strict Know Your Customer (KYC) process, which I didn’t find surprising because it’s blockchain-based. That said, MNSTR can still ask you to verify your identity in certain situations.

MNSTR is on the verge for more

MNSTR is a site I can recommend for Pokémon and One Piece trading cards. The site features hundreds of collectibles for both categories in different tiers. You can instantly sell the cards back for 85% of their displayed FMV after ripping or request shipping. When I checked, MNSTR’s sports packs featuring NBA, NFL, and the MLB are all coming soon, so expect a more diverse pack ripping experience in the near future.

The leading downside is that MNSTR doesn’t offer real-time on-site live chat support. Nevertheless, the Discord community is available as a reliable alternative.

Before joining a digital mystery pack site, it’s important to only consider trusted platforms. MNSTR proves to be one because reputable grading companies authenticate its trading cards. If you want to try MNSTR, tap the banners on this page to visit the site.
