GEMINT: Pros and Cons
  • Pokémon cards worth up to $4,000
  • Crypto and fiat payment methods
  • Provably fair card randomization
  • Limited customer support options

This GEMINT review looks at a digital shopping platform that sells trading cards in mystery packs. Opened in 2026, it only has Pokémon cards for now. But One Piece and sports collectibles are slated to arrive in future.

In my guide, I’ll take a look at the different packs for sale, plus an exciting player versus player battle mode. You’ll learn how to register, pay for your purchases, and what happens after they’re ripped. Other areas I’ve covered include bonuses and customer support. But first, let’s find out more about the platform itself.

What exactly is GEMINT?

Support Types E-Mail

GEMINT is a digital mystery packs and collectibles platform. At the moment, it’s only selling Pokémon cards, available at five different price points. But One Piece, baseball and soccer cards will be arriving soon.

Each mystery pack contains a long list of possible cards, which is publicly available on the site, so everything’s nice and transparent. But the twist is, you won’t find out exactly what’s in it until you’ve opened it. And you can’t do that until you’ve already paid.

Basically, it’s just a much more exciting way to collect your favorite trading cards.

How do I know it’s legit?

The contents of each pack is randomized, using provably fair, blockchain-based technology. You can see a list of every potential pull before you buy, so you know what you stand to win.

Most mystery shopping platforms list the exact probabilities of every item too, but I couldn’t find this at GEMINT. I read somewhere on the Discord server that it should exist, so I’m guessing it’s still in development. That’s a really important feature if the site is to grow, so I hope it appears soon.

I’d normally research customer feedback to help form an opinion of how trustworthy a platform is. However, there aren’t many GEMINT reviews out there, as the site is still so new. So don’t let the lack of feedback put you off – they’ll come with time.

Who can join?

First, you must be at least 18 years old to create an account. That’s clearly stated in the terms of service.

That document, which is accessible from the website footer, also lists a number of restricted countries. Residents of the United States needn’t worry, though – it’s just places like Cuba, Iran and North Korea. If you’re in the US – you can sign up from 48 states.

Buying mystery packs – what’s available?

Click the “Official Gacha” link in the main menu to see what is a pretty small collection of trading card packs.

At the moment, it’s just Pokémon, though the site does say One Piece and baseball cards are coming soon.

There’s already a soccer category, but it was empty when I compiled my GEMINT review. However, it’s my understanding there were some World Cup-related Topps cards available during that event. It remains to be seen whether or not they’ll add more in future.

The table below summarizes what’s currently on offer in the gacha store:

Pokémon PackPriceTop Pull ValueLowest Pull Value
Master Pack$250$3,999$170
Starter Pack$100$1,499$70
Elite Pack$50$750$35
Pro Pack$25$355$20
Starter Pack$15$150$10

Fun fact – if you didn’t already know, the term “gacha” comes from the Japanese word “gachapon”. That’s the name given to vending machines that dispense plastic capsules with random prizes inside.

What happens after ripping a GEMINT mystery pack?

After buying and opening a pack, three options become available – you can either have it sent to your door, keep it in storage with GEMINT, or get rid of it instantly.

  • Redemption. If you choose to have the card shipped to your address, you’ll need to pay shipping fees. You’ll also keep an NFT version of the physical card in your account.
  • Buyback. Don’t like your pull? No worries – GEMINT will buy it from you for 90% of its fair market value. This is paid instantly to your account balance, with zero fuss.
  • Storage. GEMINT stores all of your physical card pulls in a secure vault, for as long as you need. There’s no fee – it’s all part of the service. Take advantage if you’re not sure what to do.

Can you sell to other GEMINT users?

Not yet, but soon. There’s a “Marketplace” link in the main menu that’s currently blocked, suggesting a digital trading platform is imminent.

Many other mystery pack and collectibles sites do this, and there’s a few different approaches. Some let you list items for sale at a fixed price, while others take the auction route. Of course, the best platforms allow both – I’m looking forward to seeing what GEMINT comes up with.

Customer support – Discord only

If you’re struggling with any of this, your support options aren’t the best. There’s no email address or telephone number to contact, and there’s certainly no 24/7 live chat service. In fact, there’s not even an FAQ anywhere on the website.

All you can do is join the Discord server, which features a limited FAQ of just six questions, plus the “Submit-a-ticket” channel, which effectively functions as a helpdesk. Of course, you can always seek advice from the community, by chatting with your fellow users.

Pack battles

Gemint Review battle

Like any good mystery shopping platform, it’s possible to set up play versus player battles. There are currently just three game formats, with a maximum of four players per battle, as detailed in the following table:

Battle TypeRulesPlayersRounds
ClassicAdd the value of every pull – the player with the highest total wins.2 to 41 to 5
ReverseLike a Classic battle, but the player with the lowest total value wins.2 to 41 to 5
One ShotNo totals – the Battle is decided by the value of the highest individual card in the final round. If you have it, you win.2 to 41 to 5

You may include packs from any price point. In theory, the most expensive battle would cost $1,250 – that’s five $250 Master Packs. The most affordable would be just $15, for a single Starter Pack battle.

The creator can also choose a “Fast Battle” if they prefer. This does away with the dramatic build up to each rip, instantly revealing the contents.

Deposits and withdrawals – how to pay for and sell GEMINT card rips

GEMINT is primarily a cryptocurrency platform – everything is based on Tether (USDT). To make a purchase, you must fund your GEMINT account with USDT. There are three ways to do this:

  • Link a crypto wallet. Choose from almost 600 hot wallets, including Coinbase, Binance and MetaMask.
  • Send funds directly. Scan the QR code to send USDT directly from an address of your own.
  • Buy with fiat. An integration with Mercuryo lets you buy USDT with Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

There’s a minimum deposit requirement of $21 when using fiat currency.

Cashing out from GEMINT

If you’ve sold some pulls and want to cash out, the same three options exist. Send USDT directly to your own address, one of the 580+ wallets, or use Mercuryo to convert crypto to US dollars. You can then use Moonpay, another integrated payment processor, to send USD to your debit card or bank account.

As for shipping fees, I honestly don’t know – I’m yet to try and redeem a pull. Neither the website nor the Discord offer any information, which is something GEMINT really has to work on. We’d all benefit from the transparency.

What I do know, however, is there will be discounts for shipping ten or more cards at once.

New GEMINT users get a $10 discount voucher

When you join, there’s a $10 GEMINT bonus to get you started. You don’t need a code – just register, verify your email, join the Discord server and connect your X account. The $10 discount coupon can be applied to any mystery pack.

Newcomers will also find two other discount vouchers – one for 15%, and another for 5% off – in the My Rewards section of their account. There are also ongoing daily bonuses and friend referral benefits, but no tiered loyalty program at this stage. That’s another area where GEMINT could improve.

How to create your new GEMINT account

Before I wrap up my review, here’s a quick guide to getting started. Keep in mind that GEMINT doesn’t have a mobile app, so you’ll need to do this in a browser. It’s still accessible from a smartphone or tablet, thanks to the website’s responsive, mobile-first design. Just make sure your browser is up-to-date.

You can easily locate the site’s features because of the simple website layout. Official gacha, pack battles, your profile and the coupon section are all lined up at the left side of your screen for easy navigation. The black and green design looks sleek, too.

Okay, here’s how to sign up:

  1. Load the GEMINT website – click a link on this page

  2. Hit “Sign Up / Log In” – it only says “Log in” on mobile

  3. Provide a working email address or just use Google

  4. Enter the confirmation code sent to your email inbox

Congratulations, you’ve just opened a new account. You’ll be logged in automatically as soon as you supply the confirmation code, leaving you free to explore the platform.

One to watch for Pokémon collectors

GEMINT has laid down a solid base as a digital mystery card rip platform. The site looks great and is generally easy to use. Existing card packs are fairly priced, with options to suit every collector’s budget. The bonuses are appealing, with no complex or unfair terms and conditions.

However, it now needs to build on this platform, if it’s going to threaten the leading platforms in this space. Publishing the probabilities of each potential pull should be a priority. But I’d also like to see more customer support options, plus the addition of a loyalty program.

I can’t wait to see how the planned marketplace turns out. We’ve also been promised sports cards and One Piece collectibles, to join the existing Pokémon options, so there’s plenty to look forward to already. This is very much an up and coming platform that I recommend as “one to watch”. Use the links on this page to have a look and set up an account. Join today for a $10 discount on your first purchase.
