If you’ve read any of my other card break site overviews, such as the review of Gemint, Cases, or Packly, you know how things go after you reveal a card. The standard options are to keep the card in your digital portfolio, sell it back, or request shipping of the physical version.
Only two of these options are possible on Pickem Ripping Packs, though. The platform doesn’t let you keep a digital portfolio. Instead, you get three hours to take manual action and sell the card back or request shipping. If you don’t do anything, an automatic sellback happens, and that’s it.
Two other things I’d like to highlight are the sell-back offer set at 90% of the current market value of the cards and the shipping costs. Basically, you can reveal a card and decide that you don’t want it. If the card’s current value is $100, you can sell it back for 90% of the market value or, in this example, for $90.
As for the shipping, it’s fast and streamlined, though it includes extra charges that you must cover before the brand sends the card your way. Remember that if you request shipping, you can’t use the sell-back option on that card anymore. This way of work is standard, and it’s not a red flag. I wanted to mention it for the rookies among you.
If there are roadblocks that prevent you from performing standard actions like choosing card packs, making payments, or contacting support, then things aren’t that good. In my experience, I’ve never stayed long on sites that were a hassle to use. I made sure to confirm that wasn’t the case with Pickem Ripping Packs, and I was overall happy with how things were organized on the platform.
First, let me tell you not to be surprised by the lack of a sign-up button when you open the Pickem Ripping Packs homepage. The brand has app-only access, which means you must get an app to rip card packs here. It’s better to have quality apps and no desktop version, rather than an underperforming site. If you’re one of those users stuck on their phone, I get it. I’m the same, and that’s why I always check how a card break platform performs on mobile devices. As I’ve already explained, Pickem Ripping Packs has app-only access, so I didn’t expect anything less than a smooth experience on my phone.

Both apps have solid ratings and over 4,000 Pickem Ripping Packs reviews each. I did most of the mobile testing on my iPhone and can confirm that everything made sense. All the buttons are easy to see and use. Everything loads fast and, depending on your device’s size, it’s easy to choose and open packs.
The topic I want to tackle next is the customer support section of Pickem Ripping Packs. I tested all contact channels and used the various FAQ and help pages. There were things I liked and things I’d like to see improved.
On the positive side, you can use live chat 24/7 and expect nearly instant responses most of the time. There’s also email support, but that’s a slower way of communication, and you may need to wait for hours to receive a reply. The same situation exists in my review of Packly, Gemint, Rips by Triumph, and other brands. Email correspondence is slower; there’s not much you can do about it, aside from going for live chat instead.
On the negative side, the help center seems focused on the other Pickem Ripping Packs’ social casino. Aside from a sole FAQ page dedicated specifically to Pickem Ripping Packs, I didn’t find any additional useful resources. It’s possible to browse the help center for “Rips” and “Packs” to get some answers, but even then I didn’t discover more than five topics.
Before I sum up my review of Pickem Ripping Packs, I want to cover the topic of handling your USD balance. This part may get tricky because Pickem Ripping Packs has two products. The social casino section works with virtual currencies only, and those are not related to the Rips (Ripping Packs) product at all. Your USD balance is for the Rips section, and it’s not mixed with the virtual currencies.
The point of the USD balance is to fund your opening of mystery boxes, the same way it does on any other card break platform. You upload funds using cards, e-wallets, mobile wallets, and bank transfers. Once the funds appear in your USD balance, you can use them to pay for the card pack you want. Everything is clear and standard here.
Then, let’s say you’ve sold a few revealed cards and have a remaining USD balance that you want to cash out. This process is possible via Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Skrill, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Chase. Take note of the minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts of $6 and $2,500 per request, respectively. I’d say that the limits are a bit restrictive for my taste, especially if you reveal an expensive card. That would be one of those sweet problems to have, right?
If the app-only access works for you and you like the covered markets, Pickem Ripping Packs can be a top platform for opening mystery boxes. The options to quickly set the desired probability level, make secure payments, and reach support 24/7 left me the strongest impression here. Of course, the possibility of revealing popular and old-school cards had its effect on me, too.
