Unbox.gg is a mystery box site that doesn’t have a typical signup bonus, but it does offer you a free mystery box the first day you join. I liked the platform and its multiple ways of claiming free rewards.
The site has many things, but an Unbox.gg promo code isn’t among them, as most deals activate through manual action. An exception seems to be the bonus drops launched on social media and the community chat, since they sometimes arrive as special codes. My overview of the brand’s bonuses and promotions covers all details a newcomer needs to know.
Any talk about promo codes has to start with the welcome bonus, and you may be surprised to learn that there is no such thing here. I registered the account and received nothing. I checked my email, and there wasn’t anything either. It soon became clear that the first daily free bonus was my welcome bonus, too.
So, I can conclude that the Unbox.gg signup bonus is the Daily Recruit Degen I free box. You must open the rewards section and claim it manually.
I got the random Paper Clip through this free box, and here’s a summary of the possible items you may reveal:
The values of these items go from a modest $0.01 (yes, the paper clip!) to $45, which isn’t bad. You can instantly sell back whatever you reveal and then use those Tokens to open another box.
Suppose I compare Unbox.gg’s approach to other sites, it’s difficult to say whether it’s better or worse. For example, in my Underdog Rips bonus review, I list the site’s signup deal of a 100% match of up to $1,000 on your first purchase there. Cases.gg gives you free mystery boxes as soon as you register. Neither of these options exists on Unbox.gg as such, but you do get a chance to claim a free mystery box through the daily bonus.
Now that I’ve explained the Unbox.gg signup bonus, I’d like to share with you how you can claim it. Truth be told, the process was simple, and everything starts with registration.
Use the banners here to visit Unbox.gg.
Click on the “Sign In” button to load the registration screen.
Choose the “Sign Up” tab on the screen.
Set up your username and password.
Enter your email address.
Accept the site’s T&Cs.
That’s it.
Once you have your account, you need to visit the rewards section and claim your first daily free box. Heads up: this step requires that you verify your email address.
There aren’t any special rules to mention right now. You open the box, reveal what’s inside, and complete any of the available actions. If you sell the item, the shown value goes directly into your account’s balance.
If you have a minimum of $1 in your balance, you can instantly redeem it for a crypto prize. You may have noticed the same approach in my bonus review of HypeDrop or PICKEM because mystery box platforms tend to keep things simple.
Let me give you a friendly reminder that Unbox.gg may change its promotional rules without any prior notice. Check when the latest version of the T&Cs was published to know exactly how you can use your bonus.
I made sure to praise the brand in my Unbox.gg review for its long list of bonuses and promotions for existing members. I will do the same here and go a step further by explaining all the deals beyond the welcome offer.
| Bonus type | What do you get? |
|---|---|
| Daily free box | 1 every 24 hours |
| Social media giveaways | Free boxes or free Tokens |
| Rakeback | Instant, weekly, and monthly |
| Friend referral bonus | 15% commission |
My favorite was definitely the daily free box promotion, which is exactly like it sounds. Every 24 hours, you get to open a free mystery box. The exact box you get depends on your level, so initially you’re stuck with the Daily Recruit Degen I one. You may recognize it as the first ever free box you’ve opened on Unbox.gg.
Seeing a daily bonus was surprising to me. I’m used to seeing this type of bonus on other platforms, but not on mystery box sites. For example, I mention various deals in my bonus review of PICKEM Ripping Packs and GEMINT, but no free daily bonuses.
The only time I noticed promotions involving an Unbox.gg bonus code was when I opened the brand’s X account. Among the various giveaways and bonus drops of free mystery boxes and items, I also saw codes that activated various limited-time deals.
Once I got access to my account, I noticed the rakeback promotion. An info button explained that users receive 10% of the house edge of every token spent. The rakeback on Unbox.gg is divided into instant, weekly, and monthly. This promo was a nice way for me to get back some of the funds spent, so I could use them to open some more boxes.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the friend referral program is the most popular bonus type on mystery box sites like Unbox.gg. I wasn’t surprised to see it here, but I was curious to see its terms.
I could receive up to 15% commission on the spending of my referrals. I say “up to” because there are five commission levels, depending on how much your friend has spent.
Here are the details:
| Commission Level | Target | Commission Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | $0 | 5% |
| Grinder | $100 | 7.50% |
| Partner | $1,000 | 10% |
| Pro | $50,000 | 12.50% |
| Legend | $150,000 | 15% |
As you can see, when your friends spend more, your commission percentage increases. Even the basic one of 5% is solid, as most other mystery box sites give between 2% and 5%.
It was refreshing to see a multi-level VIP program available on Unbox.gg, but I wasn’t ready for 300 levels. You start as a Recruit Degen and then progress all the way to becoming an Emperor. There are, in fact, 10 main levels, with each of the levels having 30 sublevels.
To reach level 1, you must spend $2.40 on the site’s products, which is decent. However, getting to the higher levels is a bit expensive. For example, reaching the 100th Sergeant Stacker II level requires cumulative spending of $6,188.80.
As for the perks, you will get improved daily free boxes and level-up boxes. Some other perks, such as access to the community chat and exclusive bonus drops, exist, too. The program is good, and its slow progression suited me.
Before I sum up this page on the Unbox.gg promo codes and bonuses, I want to share a few practical tips with you. I wish I knew these things the first time I joined the platform, so I’m giving you a head start now.
The demo box opening feature was useful to me, as I wanted to see what to expect from the process before spending my Tokens.
Log in to your account daily. If you forget to claim a free box, you can’t get two boxes the next day. My tip for you is to log into your account daily and, if necessary, set reminders to do so.
When you’re logged in, you’ll see the section named “Vault”. You can place your unused funds here to get a 4% APY commission on them.
Know that redeeming Tokens is possible for crypto prizes only. While the brand lets you top up your Tokens balance with crypto, cards, or gift cards, the only way to redeem your Tokens is via crypto.
Every time I needed help, I found it in less than a minute through the live chat window. If you’re stuck with something, don’t hesitate to reach out and seek assistance.
Despite the lack of a typical signup bonus, Unbox.gg has found a way to give you a free treat right after you join. I didn’t reveal anything of high value, but I did see how the process works and how to sell back the items I’ve received. I believe any new user would feel the same, so that’s why I give Unbox.gg the thumbs up.
I want to highlight one more time the daily free boxes, the VIP perks, and the social media giveaways as additional reasons why the brand is a solid choice. All of these bonuses and promos make the experience of choosing from 190 mystery boxes with all kinds of items inside that much more interesting.
Your first free mystery box on Unbox.gg is one registration process away. Use the banners here to visit the site and create your account.
Yes, there are sometimes Unbox.gg promo codes you can claim, and typically you’ll find them as limited-time promotions on the brand’s social media accounts.
No, there’s no special welcome bonus for new members on Unbox.gg. You can, however, claim your first free daily mystery box right away, so you do start with a free treat.
There aren’t any specific deposit-related bonuses on Unbox.gg I can mention at this time. The site also uses different wording, so rather than depositing money, you’re purchasing Tokens and then using those to open the boxes. It’s possible to see some offers connected to making a purchase, but nothing’s guaranteed.
The Races are in-platform limited-time events that give users additional motivation to open mystery boxes on the site. When you open boxes and collect points, you progress on the leaderboard. Depending on your final spot, you may win a free prize, with most first-place prizes ranging from $400 to $900.
