Wanderluck is a mystery box site that specializes in travel. The name is a pun on “wanderlust”, a German word meaning “desire to travel”. It’s a very obvious nod to the two key elements that make up this intriguing platform.
New to mystery boxes? Don’t worry – the Wanderluck signup bonus lets you open a box completely free, immediately after signing up. With no need to spend any money, it’s a safe way to figure out the site’s mechanics. I’ll explain how to claim this welcome bonus shortly, before discussing several other promotions available at Wanderluck.

I’ll get to the signup bonus in a moment, but I want to make sure you understand how this site works first. If you haven’t already checked out my Wanderluck review, you might not fully understand what’s going on here.
This is a mystery box platform, so you’ll be purchasing cases of unknown goods. The contents could be worth less than you paid, but they could also be more valuable – and that’s why it’s so exciting.
However, unlike similar sites, where the cases usually contain clothes, sneakers and jewelry, Wanderluck is all about travel. So the headline rewards are luxurious trips to various parts of the globe – and all the way around it, in some cases. Other potential pulls include travel accessories like power socket adaptors, passport covers and even luggage.
Because the platform uses a virtual currency called Coins, you don’t actually buy mystery boxes with cash. Instead, you use said Coins, acquired through various bonuses, promotions and Battles.
Running low on Coins, but too impatient to wait for the next bonus? Fear not – it’s possible to pay for a top up. Click the orange plus sign next to your balance, then buy a Coins package using Apple Pay, or any major credit and debit card. Prices range from $1.99 to $999.99, so anyone can get involved.

Okay, let’s get back to the welcome bonus. All new registrants are eligible to open one mystery box completely free. Unfortunately, though, you can’t pick anything you like – it’s a special case reserved exclusively for newbies, and the prizes aren’t as exciting as a round-the-world trip.
The best possible reward from your signup bonus is 250 Coins – equivalent to $25 – but the chances of pulling it are extremely low. It’s far more likely you’ll end up with 10 Coins – worth $1 – which is exactly what I got when I joined.
I’ve listed all the potential welcome bonus pulls in the table below, along with their respective probabilities.
| Possible Bonus | Prize Value | Reveal Probability |
|---|---|---|
| 10 Coins | $1 | 98.1% |
| 20 Coins | $2 | 1% |
| 30 Coins | $3 | 0.5% |
| 50 Coins | $5 | 0.25% |
| 100 Coins | $10 | 0.1111% |
| 250 Coins | $25 | 0.04167% |
Ready to claim your welcome bonus? Just follow the steps below to get started:
Load the Wanderluck homepage in your browser
Use the “Sign Up” button to open a new account
Verify your email – you should log in automatically
Head to the rewards page and tap “Open Box”
Watch the short animation and learn what you won
Your rewards are automatically credited to your balance
As you can see, it’s a really straightforward process. You don’t need to enter a special Wanderluck bonus code on the registration form, or do anything particularly fancy. Just sign up, go to the rewards page, and open your box.

Beyond the signup bonus, Wanderluck offers plenty of ongoing promotions for regular users. There’s a loyalty program, which I’ll get to shortly, as well as the following goodies.
On the rewards page, you’ll notice a section called “Guess the actual price”. Click this to play a fun game that puts your travel knowledge to the test, and promises some kind of bonus every single day.
You’ll be presented with a short video showcasing some kind of travel package. For example, just before compiling this guide, I was shown clips of a 4-star hotel with a spa. I had to guess the value of a three-night stay for two people. The potential rewards were as follows:
| Guess Within +/- | Reward |
|---|---|
| 5% | Platinum Box |
| 15% | Gold Box |
| 30% | Silver Box |
| Participation | Bronze Box |
My slider range was set from $460 at the bottom, to a top price of $1,190. I figured it would be near the lower end of that range, so I guessed $538. Turns out I was just $34 away, and the true price was $504 – that attempt won me a Gold Box.
Potential prizes within the Gold Box included a power bank, bluetooth speaker and a Coach watch. However, I ended up with a low-value reward of just 0.5225 Coins. Oh well, I’ll try again tomorrow!
This promotion is exactly as straightforward as it sounds. If you open at least one box for seven consecutive days, you’ll get a reward. That reward is a free case.
There are no strings attached here. For example, the value of the boxes you open doesn’t matter. You just have to have to open at least one during a 24 hour period to qualify.
At the end of the seven days, everything resets and you can begin another streak.
Wanderluck definitely has some kind of friend referral bonus, and I’d love to tell you how it works – but I can’t. I know that one exists, because when you click on your profile image, there’s a referral code shown at the bottom of the menu. You’ll see it just below the “Logout” button.
It seems fair to assume that, when a friend enters this code on the signup form, you’ll be subject to some kind of reward. However, nowhere on the website does Wanderluck talk about this bonus. Not in the FAQs, not in the Help Center, and even the support team didn’t seem to have any details.
Hopefully, they’ll publish some information soon. When they do, I’ll update this guide accordingly.
At the moment, Wanderluck is only present on Instagram. At the time of writing, there were just two posts, neither of which involve any promotions or giveaways. It’s worth following anyway, though. Should they become more active and start giving away freebies, you’ll be at the front of the queue to collect.
There’s also a small Discord community. Again, I’d say it’s probably worth getting involved now and seeing how it unfolds. If nothing else, you can ask your fellow users for tips and advice. But if there’s ever going to be a Wanderluck promo code or prize drop in future, it’s probably going to be here.
The Rewards page also features a progress bar showing how far is left before you reach the next loyalty level. This VIP program has nine tiers in total, and everyone is enrolled immediately upon registration.
You don’t actually get anything until you hit the first loyalty level – that’s when the daily rewards kick in. For each new tier reached, you can open a free mystery box every day. So, if you’re at Tier 3, for instance, you get three free bonus boxes every 24 hours.
I also read about wheel spinning games obtained through the Wanderluck loyalty program, but I couldn’t see anything anywhere on the site. Mind you, I haven’t quite made it to Tier 1 yet – perhaps this will appear when I unlock the first level.
XP is acquired by opening mystery boxes – you’ll receive half of the case’s Coins value towards your progress bar. For example, if you acquire the cheapest mystery box, worth 1.60 Coins, you get 0.8 XP towards the next tier.
Alternatively, you can purchase XP directly from the store. Click the “Buy XP” tab next to “Buy coins” to instantly boost your loyalty level.
Wanderluck is a fascinating mystery box platform that’s aimed at travel enthusiasts. It’s still very new, so it’s not particularly well-known yet. But it’ll be really interesting to see how popular it becomes, as it’s not a concept I’ve come across before. Only time will tell whether or not the idea is too niche.
To check things out for yourself, click a link in this guide and open a new account. Remember, your first box is totally free, so there’s no need to spend any money. The welcome bonus offers a safe way to test the platform and get to grips with the mechanics.
Wanderluck is a mystery box site. You collect a virtual currency called Coins, which can be used to buy cases, the contents of which are unknown. Once purchased, you’ll open it to reveal what’s inside. Potential prizes include luxury trips, physical travel accessories, and more digital Coins to spend on boxes.
There is a welcome bonus, but it doesn’t require you to spend money. You don’t really make “deposits” at Wanderluck – mystery boxes are purchased using a virtual currency called Coins. All new accounts get one free box to open, which contains anywhere between 10 and 250 Coins.
The Wanderluck signup bonus box contains a number of Coins, the platform’s virtual currency that’s used to buy cases and make deals. There are six possible prizes – 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 and 250 Coins. It’s highly likely (98.1% probability) that you’ll end up with 10 Coins.
Yes, but the details are not yet published on the Wanderluck website. Click your username to see a referral code at the bottom of the pop-up menu. Your friends must include this eight-digit sequence on the signup form when registering, otherwise you won’t get any referral benefits.
If you’ve managed to pull a trip, Wanderluck will connect you to a travel concierge. They consult with you to plan the details of the trip, arranging flights, accommodation and any visas you may require. However, it’s up to you to ensure you have a valid passport when buying boxes.
