Panthers CB Damarri Mathis (ACL) out for season

Carolina Panthers cornerback Damarri Mathis will miss the upcoming season after sustaining a torn ACL at practice earlier this week, head coach Dave Canales announced Friday.
Mathis was claimed off waivers by Carolina on Aug. 27, the same day as he was released by the Denver Broncos.
Mathis, 26, recorded three tackles in 10 games (one start) last season with Denver.
He has totaled 103 tackles in 43 career games (18 starts) since being selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh.
