Police Are Looking For This Phillies Fan, Who They Say Threw A Beer Bottle At Ryan Howard

The Ryan Howard era is grinding to an ignominious end, but when Howard grounded out as a pinch-hitter to end Saturday’s home loss to the Brewers, one fan allegedly took things too far.

According to witnesses, the man pictured below flung an aluminum Bud Light Lime bottle at Howard as he walked back to the dugout.

Philadelphia police released this photo, taken by a nearby fan, of the suspect (in the grey Phillies jersey and reddish shorts). Investigators asked for anyone who knows the man to contact police.

The bottle leanded at Howard’s feet, and he alerted a security guard. The Phillies’ security director informed police yesterday.

“I’ve done too much in this town to have that kind of stuff,” Howard said. “If you want to yell out, `You suck,’ that’s whatever. But when you start throwing stuff, that’s when stuff gets personal.”
