credits: Adrian Kraus | source: AP Richie Incognito was placed on “involuntary psychiatric hold” yesterday after police responded to a 911 call at a gym in Boca Raton, Fla. where Incognito was said to be accosting staff and another patron. Local police have since released their report from the incident, in which they say Incognito was acting jumpy and paranoid and claimed that he was “running NSA level 3 documents” through his phone.
When police arrived on the scene, they met with the gym patron, who told them that Incognito had thrown a tennis ball at him before yelling, “Get out of my fucking playground.” He told police that Incognito then skimmed the back of his leg with a weight sled, and threw a dumbbell into a nearby pool.
The responding officers then met with Incognito, and described their interactions with him in the report:
Police also released audio of the 911 call, in which you can hear Incognito shouting in the background and continuing to threaten the caller.
