Post-Marathon Interview Is The Biggest Endurance Test Of All
Kara Goucher, you just finished third in the Boston Marathon. Would you mind standing still for five minutes while my incompetent news crew gets their act together? And may I call you Sara?
It's too bad that this video cuts out before we get to the actual interview, because I'm sure the questions this reporter had on tap for "Sara" were stupendous. (I believe that's Steve Burton from the local CBS affliate.) She just lost a heartbreaking opportunity to conquer the Boston Marathon and her reward is someone who gets her name wrong and then can't find a working microphone to work. Plus, she just ran 26.2 miles and would maybe like to sit down for a second.
In case you're wondering, that is the same Kara Goucher who made so many new NBA friends at the Olympics last summer. I bet you they remember her name.
