Robinhood’s stock price dipped 3% during trading on Wednesday, as investors priced in a continued slump in cryptocurrency trading. Still, much of the news during Wednesday’s earnings call was positive, with Robinhood reporting that it now has ten business lines that generate at least $100 million in annualized revenue. This quarter’s earnings call was held indoors in a studio atmosphere, which was a distinct departure from the first quarter’s outdoor presentation.

“Whether it’s the Robinhood Chain, Robinhood Ventures, or Trump Accounts, our product velocity is focused on one goal: making everyone an owner,” said Vlad Tenev, Chairman and CEO of Robinhood. “Broad ownership is essential to a free, stable, and prosperous society.”

“The business is firing on all cylinders,” said Shiv Verma, Chief Financial Officer of Robinhood. “We delivered record revenues and drove new highs across equity, option, and event contract volumes, as we continue to win market share. Our product velocity continues to deliver new products for customers and drive a more diversified business, with Robinhood Legend and the Credit Card business joining our growing roster of now thirteen different business lines that have reached $100 million-plus in annualized revenues.”

Prediction markets are driving Robinhood’s growth

Prediction markets have turned into a significant driver for growth and customer acquisition for Robinhood. The exchange reported a 10x year-over-year jump in associated revenues, up to $156 million for the second quarter. The Q2 2026 revenues figure also represents a 50% spike over the previous quarter.

In the United States, Robinhood is listed as the second-most popular prediction market platform behind Kalshi. The exchange has amassed billions in notional trading volume, sparked by the 2026 World Cup. This led to 13.6 billion contracts being traded on Robinhood for the second quarter of the year, with Robinhood reporting a per-contract revenue average of 1.15 cents.

Robinhood has also leveraged its joint venture with Susquehanna International Group (SIG) via Rothera. In all, Robinhood now has a prediction market customer base of approximately 2 million, with surging premium Gold memberships.

Tailwinds for Robinhood prediction markets

The 2026 US midterm general elections occur on Tuesday, November 3rd. Prediction markets revolving around which party will control the House and Senate are experiencing heavy trading activity even though the actual elections are still more than 90 days away.

“Combo” trades could reach all-time highs for the third quarter due to the start of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported that Robinhood is currently in talks with Crypto.com to expand its prediction market footprint in the United States.
