This PrizePicks Predict review covers what I found testing Team Picks and Culture Picks over the past few weeks. These are event contracts, not the DFS-style Player Picks, and the difference matters if you’re looking specifically for prediction markets.
I checked out the Team & Culture board daily, bought and sold contracts across different categories, tested the funding process with debit cards, and checked how early payouts work when liquidity is available. You’ll learn how Team Picks and Culture Picks differ from standard PrizePicks, which prediction verticals show up on the board, and how pricing and settlement work.
PrizePicks is a prediction market site that has multiple product types inside the same app. Team Picks and Culture Picks are powered by PrizePicks Predict, a separate entity from the main PrizePicks offering. These are event contracts, not the multi-pick lineups you’ll find in Player Picks. Team Picks and Culture Picks are offered by Performance Predictions II, LLC (PrizePicks Predict), a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA Member. All event contracts come from Kalshi markets, accessed through the PrizePicks app.
Instead of building lineups with Flex or Power Play, you’re selecting individual yes/no contracts with market-based pricing. The crowd sets the price, you choose your max entry fee at checkout, and contracts settle to 0 or 1. Early payouts exist but depend on market liquidity.
Team Picks are available in 34 states, Culture Picks are available in 48 states, and eligibility for event contracts requires you to be a U.S. resident and 18 years or older. The specific states where Team Picks and Culture Picks are offered can change based on regulatory approvals, so the PrizePicks app will show you what’s accessible when you log in from your location. Offerings vary by state, and the geo-location check happens every time you open the app.
If you’re in a state where Team Picks aren’t available but Culture Picks are, you’ll only see the Culture board. If neither product is available in your state, you won’t see the Team & Culture section at all.
Finding the Team & Culture board was straightforward. I tapped the pick type switcher at the top of the app and selected either Team or Culture depending on what I wanted to browse.
Each contract has a details screen that includes the exact outcome being predicted, the settlement source, and the resolution date. I made a habit of reading this before entering because it’s where you confirm what you’re taking a position on. The open/close information (when a market stops accepting new positions) displays on the contract card.
Potential payout info shows up when you select an outcome option. If I chose yes on a contract priced at 0.55, the screen displayed my max entry fee and the estimated payout if the contract settled to 1. This happened before checkout, so I could back out if the numbers didn’t make sense.
One thing I noticed is that pricing can move between when you select a contract and when you confirm at checkout, especially on high-volume markets during major events. The app flags this with an updated price confirmation screen, which prevents accidental entries at worse prices than I expected. Liquidity on early payouts varied significantly. Major sports games and big political events had active markets where I could exit early if I wanted. Smaller niche topics sometimes had no early payout option available.
PrizePicks Predict lives inside the PrizePicks app, and most of my use happened on mobile. The pick type switcher (Players / Teams / Culture) sits at the top of the main board, and switching between them took one tap.
Team Picks deposits are limited to Visa debit, Mastercard debit, and online banking due to legal requirements. Culture Picks also require funding via debit card or bank account.
This is stricter than the broader PrizePicks wallet, which supports credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay for Player Picks. When I tried to fund a Team Pick entry using a payment method that wasn’t allowed, the app blocked it at checkout and prompted me to add a debit card or link my bank account. The restriction applies at the transaction level, not the wallet level, so you can have multiple payment methods saved but only certain ones will work for event contracts.
Deposits processed instantly when I used a debit card. Bank account transfers took longer to verify on the first use but were faster on repeat deposits. Withdrawals follow standard PrizePicks processing, but early payouts on event contracts depend entirely on market liquidity at the time you want to exit.
If you’re holding a contract and want to take an early payout, the app shows the current exit price if liquidity is available. If the market is thin or the contract is close to settlement, the early payout option may be greyed out. High-volume markets during peak interest (game day, election night) had better liquidity than off-peak hours or niche topics.

I tested support twice specifically for Predict-related questions. Both times, response times were under 4 minutes and agents had access to my account info without me needing to provide details.
Support is available through live chat in the app and on the PrizePicks site. There’s also a help center that includes a section on PrizePicks Predict with links to disclosures and terms of service. For Predict-specific questions, the help center points to the “PrizePicks Predict Terms of Service” and risk disclosures, which are worth reading before you start entering contracts.
The first time, I opened live chat and asked why early payouts were greyed out on a contract I was holding. The agent responded in under 4 minutes and explained that the market had low liquidity and early exits weren’t available at that moment. They linked me to the Predict terms page for more detail on how early payouts work.
The second time, I asked about funding restrictions and why PayPal wasn’t showing up for a Culture Pick entry. The agent confirmed the debit/bank-only requirement for event contracts and walked me through adding a debit card to my wallet. Response time was about 3 minutes.
PrizePicks Predict is operated by Performance Predictions II, LLC, a CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant and NFA Member. You can verify this registration through the NFA’s BASIC search tool, which provides regulatory transparency. Event contract trading involves risk, and PrizePicks is upfront about this. The “PrizePicks Predict Terms of Service” page includes full legal terms separate from standard Player Picks terms, giving you clear information before you start.
All event contracts listed on PrizePicks are Kalshi markets, accessed through the partnership between PrizePicks Predict and Kalshi. Settlement sources and contract rules come from Kalshi’s market specifications, shown in the contract details screen before you enter.

But this offer is delivered as Bonus Lineups for Player Picks (the DFS-style product) and cannot be used as a PrizePicks Predict promo code for Team Picks or Culture Picks.
