There wasn’t much of a market on Kalshi for the 2026 Wimbledon Ladies’ doubles winning duo until the Williams sisters confirmed their acceptance of a wildcard entry. Now, traders are contemplating the chances of Serena and Venus winning their seventh Wimbledon Ladies’ doubles title at the All England Club.
The iconic tennis siblings may be a combined 90 years of age, but that hasn’t stopped prediction market forecasters from taking a shot at a potential huge payday. And oh, by the way, Serena has accepted Wimbledon’s wildcard invitation into the ladies’ singles tournament, too! Once again, the Williams sisters don’t disappoint. They’ve double-handedly created a new market for tennis prediction enthusiasts to enjoy once the ladies’ doubles tournament begins on July 2nd.
We have four words for Kalshi traders… there is no way! Unless the Williams sisters’ odds drop below two cents, this is a clear “no” pickup. Of course, age discrimination likewise played a significant role in oddsmakers’ lines for George Foreman vs. Michael Moorer way back in 1994, but Serena and Venus are “double trouble” when it comes to bucking the odds. And that’s before Serena potentially plays numerous singles matches to boot.
Take the “no” at 91 cents per contract before the price goes up again. If you were lucky enough to buy “no” contracts at 72 cents on June 16th when the market opened, hold on to them! Kalshi traders collectively came to their senses in just a few hours, but the 10¢ “yes” price for Serena and Venus to win the 2026 Wimbledon ladies’ doubles tournament remains overpriced.
It remains to be seen whether a traditional “winners” market will open for the upcoming Wimbledon ladies’ doubles tournament. Regardless, the Williams sisters have made it a “must-watch” event.
Kateřina Siniaková and Taylor Townsend are the clear favorites to win the Wimbledon ladies’ doubles title this year. They’re ranked #1 and #2 respectively in tennis doubles, won at Roland-Garros, and have dominated the category so far this year. Townsend’s left-handed serve will be absolutely lethal on the grass-court surfaces of the All England Club. Siniaková doesn’t suffer from unforced errors and commands the net with her skills.
Defending co-champion Elise Mertens will team up with Zhang Shuai of China this year. Zhang and Mertens won the 2026 Australian Open, but are likely to be overwhelmed by the top-ranked pair of Townsend and Siniaková (if the two teams meet) thanks to the grass-court surface.
If the weather remains near record highs, the courts will play fast and unforgivingly. If temperatures are more moderate but with high humidity, the bounces may be lower but will still favor players who can accurately place flat strokes. Either way, look for the world’s best women’s tennis doubles pairing to succeed at Wimbledon. The only thing remaining is for Kalshi to open a “winners” market on the final results.
As mentioned previously, Venus and Serena Williams opened at 28 cents per contract to win the 2026 Wimbledon ladies’ doubles tournament, then immediately tanked. Kalshi traders won’t get another opportunity to purchase “no” contracts at that price, but 10 cents is more than doable if you’re seeking a profitable line.
