On December 18th, Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere throughout North America at over 4,000 theaters. Although the feature film was unable to secure most IMAX venues (Dune: Part Three will be showing at the same time), Joe and Anthony Russo will return as directors, with Robert Downey, Jr. already confirmed as Doctor Doom.
Rumors related to which stars will make cameos in Avengers: Doomsday have run rampant since San Diego Comic-Con, leaving prediction market apps with plenty of “yes/no” contracts to offer customers. There’s even a Kalshi market on whether the film will be delayed. With approximately four months remaining until Avengers: Doomsday is set to release, here are the markets we’re looking at.
Over 135,000 badged individuals attended San Diego Comic-Con two weeks ago. The rumors surrounding the upcoming Marvel movie haven’t stopped since. Word that Tobey Maguire will make a cameo appearance as Spider-Man has caused that market to soar up to 88¢ per contract. By contrast, an appearance by Tom Holland as Spider-Man is priced at 57 cents.
Total trading volume on Kalshi cameo markets for the film is quickly approaching $600,000 and we don’t expect the pace to let up unless Avengers: Doomsday is delayed. Many Kalshi traders are convinced that Hugh Jackman will appear as Wolverine; that market is priced at 89¢ per contract. Even Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool has climbed to a per-contract price of 86 cents.
There are two major fan-driven events that Kalshi Pro traders will want to closely monitor as they are occurring. The first (The Ultimate Disney Fan Event) will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim starting on Friday, August 14th. The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer may be shown during this three-day event.
The second gathering will be later this year at New York Comic-Con, which typically draws more than 250,000 attendees. This year, the New York event will be held in October and is expected to shed further light on potential cameo appearances for Avengers: Doomsday.

The outcomes are verified only if Marvel announces a cameo appearance with the corresponding actor or if that actor appears as the corresponding character once the movie releases.
If the actor in question appears in the sequel but does not appear in the Avengers: Doomsday film at all, the market for that actor and character will resolve as “no.”
