Morocco will be aiming to clinch their place in the last 32 of the World Cup when they take on an already eliminated Haiti at Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday evening. Whilst Haiti have performed admirably in their opening two games, they have looked slightly out of their depth on the world stage. When you contrast Haiti’s displays with Morocco’s excellent performances so far, it is no surprise that the latest Kalshi prediction markets give the African champions an 83% chance of victory.

Following their superb run to the semi finals at the 2022 World Cup, plus their (highly contentious) 2026 AFCON success, expectations were sky high for Morocco heading into the World Cup. To their credit, Mohamed Ouahbi’s side have largely lived up to those expectations in their opening two games. They dominated Brazil for large parts of their opening game and were slightly unlucky to claim just one point from the contest, thanks to a tidy finish from Ismael Saibari midway through the first half.
Saibari was also the hero of the hour in Morocco’s second game, as his thumping early strike gave them a deserved 1-0 victory over Scotland. It’s still early days, but hopes are growing that Morocco can replicate their 2022 run to the last four, and perhaps end Africa’s long wait for a first ever World Cup victory.
Haiti have shown a lot of grit in their opening two games, but a deflected John McGinn strike saw them lose 1-0 against Scotland, before a powerful Brazil side overwhelmed them with a three-goal first-half salvo on Matchday Two. To their credit, Haiti responded to adversity very well in both of those games, but they have rarely looked like finding the net; it is not a big surprise that the debutants will be leaving the tournament at the earliest possible stage.
The current marks at Kalshi give Haiti just an 8% chance of claiming all three points. The draw is rated at around 12%, whilst Morocco are the overwhelming favorites, with the markets giving them an 83% chance of winning the game. To help you make your picks for Wednesday’s contest, our football experts have been studying the World Cup prediction markets, in order to bring you these three expert predictions for the game:
Whilst Morocco have only scored one goal in each of their first two matches, they have shown plenty of attacking flair and have been somewhat unfortunate to have not found the net on a few more occasions. Given the way Haiti’s somewhat limited defence was exposed by Brazil in the first half of last week’s 3-0 defeat, we expect the African champions to have a field day and rack up a few goals en route to a comfortable victory.
At the other end of the field, Morocco possess an elite level goalkeeper in the form of Yassine Bounou, plus a highly efficient backline that has been breached just once in their first two games. Aside from a missed header from Frantzdy Pierrot, Haiti offered scant attacking threat against Scotland, whilst they made poor use of the half chance they created against Brazil. In short, this is a world class defence against a sub-par attack, so it seems highly unlikely that both teams will score on Wednesday night.
Morocco have been fast out of the blocks in both of their first two games. They scored after just two minutes against Scotland, whilst they had plenty of chances to find the net before taking a 21st minute lead. On the flip side, all four of the goals scored against Haiti so far have occurred in the first half. Given the fact that a thumping victory is likely to see Morocco top the group, we fully expect them to make another fast start on Wednesday and assert their early authority over an inferior Haitian side.
There have been a fair few upsets so far in the World Cup, but it is hard to see Haiti springing a surprise in Atlanta. As the prediction markets indicate, Morocco are a few levels above their opponents and we fully expect them to complete a straightforward victory over the Grenadiers. If you’re making some picks on the action, make sure you do so responsibly. Look for the best value in the markets and don’t make any predictions you cannot afford to lose.
