The Atlanta Dream will try to complete the sweep over the New York Liberty in a pivotal Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals. The game will tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET at Barclays Center.
The two teams are coming off a hard-fought battle in Game 2, which went to overtime, resulting in a 101-98 win for the Dream. Both Angel Reese (23 points) and Jordin Canada (23 points) led the way for Atlanta. Breanna Stewart (35 points) had a monster game for the Liberty, but it wasn’t enough to get it done.
With the Liberty facing elimination, let’s dive into the best prediction markets to find the best prices for this WNBA playoff matchup.
The Liberty are priced at 59 cents to win this game. The point spread is Liberty -3.5, which comes in at 47 cents. The total is listed at 170.5, with the Over at 54 cents. That feels low considering the first two games combined for 174 and 199 points.
With that said, I’m staying away from the total in this one, especially with the Dream coming in 2nd in Defensive Rating this season. There is more value in choosing a winner.
I’m going with the Liberty to win the game at 59 cents, staying away from the 3.5-point spread because that feels too high considering how close this series has been.
Breanna Stewart has been dominant for the Liberty. I think they’ll be able to bounce back with a big win at home to avoid elimination.
The Liberty were a lot tougher to beat at home this year, putting up a 15-8 record. We’ll ride with them to get it done in this spot, especially with the reasonable price of 59 cents.
When examining prediction markets apps, we see that the Liberty were as high as 60% favorites back on Oct. 8, but the market has moved towards the Dream, as New York is now 58 cents. It’s not too surprising to see traders riding with Atlanta, as they’ve been red-hot of late, proving that they can take care of business in the clutch. We saw that in Game 2 when they came back to win in overtime. But even with that, I’m riding with the Liberty at home.
