The Atlanta Dream forced Game 7 with an 80-69 win over the Golden State Valkyries on Oct. 29. This was behind key contributions from guard Allisha Gray (23 points), forward Rhyne Howard (21 points), and center Angel Reese (14 rebounds, 6 assists).
It was a game where the Dream held the Valkyries to 31% shooting from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. That’s the kind of defense we’ve come to see from Atlanta when they’re on point throughout this series. Of course, the Valkyries have shown that they’re capable of doing the same.
That’s why this WNBA Finals Game 7 sets up to be so exciting, so let’s take a closer look at the best prediction markets to find value.
The Valkyries are priced at 51 cents to win this game. The point spread is Valkyries -1.5, priced at 48 cents. This makes sense because the Valkyries have home-court advantage in this game. However, I like getting points with the Dream here.
The total comes in at 142.5 points, with the Over favored at 52 cents. It’s clear that the market has adjusted to the slow pace and stout defense that we’ve come to expect in this series. Remember, these are the two best defensive teams in the WNBA.
I’ve often gone with the Under as my best trade throughout this series, but this time, I’m riding with the Dream +1.5 at 53 cents. Even though the series is tied 3-3, each of Atlanta’s three wins has been by double-digits. Meanwhile, the Valkyries have won by four, five, and nine points.
To that end, I’d argue that the Dream have been the better team in this series. The fact that the Valkyries are only favored by 1.5 points despite being at home speaks volumes to me. The market is telling you that they view the Dream as the better squad. For context, the Dream were 4.5-point favorites in their home win on Oct. 29.
With that in mind, we’ll ride with Atlanta to get it done in Game 7 of the 2026 WNBA Finals.
When taking a look at sports prediction markets, we see that there hasn’t been much movement. The Valkyries have been around 50 cents throughout the lead-up to the game. But being viewed as essentially a coin-flip tells us that the market looks at the Dream as the better team. I’m buying into Atlanta getting it done and becoming WNBA Champions.
