The NFL preseason continues tomorrow with a primetime matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. The Seahawks have huge expectations this year coming off their Super Bowl victory back in February.
So far, the NFL preseason has featured relatively low scoring. Only one preseason game on Thursday had a total score that exceeded 40 points. Will that trend continue? Or is it time for NFL prediction market traders to select “over” until the regular season begins?
As one might expect, each team’s starting quarterback is forecast to receive little to no action on the field tomorrow night. Dak Prescott and Sam Darnold will likely spend more or all of the game on the bench.
There are still a few players who are high on the depth chart that might see a considerable amount of reps, though. Dallas wide receiver Ryan Flournoy will see a lot of action as he attempts to secure a starting spot behind George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. Seattle will probably start Rashid Shaheed, who will be playing behind Cooper Kupp once September rolls around.
The Kalshi winner’s market for this event has reached $130,000 in trading volume. The Seattle Seahawks have a clear edge and will be playing in front of their home crowd. Look for the Seahawks to win this preseason game and look for the total points between both teams to eclipse 40.
The Cowboys have a safety, Caleb Downs, who they believe will help Dallas avoid being the league’s worst defense in terms of points allowed. Downs is expected to get plenty of snaps tomorrow night at Lumen Field. Owner Jerry Jones has also stated that Dallas will send a lot of inexperienced players onto the field in its first NFL preseason matchup.
Seahawks fullback Robbie Ouzts has been placed on IR by the team and will miss the entire 2026-27 regular season campaign. Terrion Arnold has been signed by Seattle in a trade with the Detroit Lions. Arnold could play cornerback tomorrow night despite being involved in a felony investigation in Florida.
At 58 cents per contract, the market for the Seahawks to win tomorrow night could be downgraded, which would be good news for potential value seekers. If Seattle’s per-contract price spikes to 60 cents or higher, the Cowboys’ “yes” option could become very attractive.
