After a heartbreaking loss in the NFC Championship round last season, the Los Angeles Rams have made every intention to bounce back after acquiring two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Myles Garrett and prediction markets didn’t waste any time reacting.
It didn’t take long for the Rams to give starting quarterback Matthew Stafford all the help he needed for next season, with the team bringing in an elite defensive specialist like Garrett, who is expected to immediately transform their pass rush and take pressure off an offense that was often forced into shootouts last year. His ability to pressure the quarterback helps the whole defense work better because offenses have less time to make plays and are forced into mistakes more often.
Prediction markets are also expecting the Rams to be one of the most consistent teams over the full regular season, and they definitely have a strong case with Garrett on the team. His addition gives them a more reliable defensive floor, which was something they lacked last season when games often swung on a few key possessions.
