The 3-2-1 New York Giants are in Houston this week to take on the Texans at NRG Stadium in a matchup that breaks most prediction market trends. Despite their 2-4 record for the 2026 regular season, the Texans have won two straight and are looking to make up more ground in the AFC South division.

The Giants are in first place in the lowly NFC East, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the prediction market contract prices for this game. Traders have lost all faith in Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy (even if he was impressive last week in a relief effort). The Giants’ contracts are currently available for just 21 cents on Kalshi.

Giants v Texans NFL Week 7 Picks

With $1.3 million already traded on this game as of early Friday morning, we simply can’t pass up the opportunity to buy “yes” contracts on New York to win this game for just 21 cents. Running back Cam Skattebo spent last week in the “doghouse” and didn’t get a single carry against the Saints after he fumbled away the team’s potential winning overtime drive against the Commanders in Week 5.

Look for Skattebo to be in the mix this week against the Texans, as head coach John Harbaugh looks for any way to give J.J. McCarthy the tools he needs to come out on top against Houston.

Of course, we DO think that Houston is the favorite to win this game, but they’re not 4-to-1 favorites in our books. We’re taking the Giants and we’re taking the points (all 10.5 of them).

Giants v Texans NFL Week 7 Latest News

Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans has called on the local fan base to wear “Battle Red Day” gear this Sunday at NRG Stadium. It’s ironic that Ryans is putting pressure on the team’s fan base after the Texans started the season at 0-4 and put a defense on the field that has been nowhere near its preseason billing.

Regardless of the outcome of this game, the New York Giants will retain their first-place position in the NFC East division, which has disappointed in more ways than one over the course of the first six weeks of the regular season. If Houston’s defense can’t stop J.J. McCarthy this Sunday afternoon, Ryans could be on the hot seat for the remainder of the season.

Giants v Texans NFL Week 7 Market Movement

We’re awestruck that the Texans’ contracts to win on Sunday haven’t dropped to a (much) more reasonable 75¢ each. But that’s great news for traders who are seeking value on an underdog.

Pro football prediction market fervor for the Texans is unlikely to go away ahead of Sunday, mainly because so many forecasters chose Houston as the eventual winner of the AFC South before the season began.

Again, we like the trade on the Giants at just 21 cents per contract and believe their toss-up contracts on the point spread are well worth it. Sunday afternoon’s game between the Giants and Texans will be broadcast live on either FOX or CBS (depending on local market listings). Live streamers can catch all the action with a Paramount+ subscription.
