The Los Angeles Rams (4-4) look to extend their winning streak to three games as they take on the Washington Commanders (2-4-1). Head coach Sean McVay is going up against his former team here, having worked as Commanders’ offensive coordinator from 2014-2016.

We can head to the best prediction market apps to look at how the market is pricing this matchup. It’s a game that features a disappointing Super Bowl contender who has seemingly gotten back on track, taking on a team that still has playoff aspirations despite their below-.500 record.

With that in mind, let’s dive into Rams vs. Commanders in Week 9.

Rams v Commanders Picks

The Rams are pretty significant road favorites in this game, priced at 67 cents. Los Angeles is favored by 4.5 points on the spread, priced at 50 cents. This makes a lot of sense because the Rams are the vastly superior team, while the Commanders have been prone to ill-advised mistakes, whether it’s with clock management or play-calling.

The total comes in at 48.5 points, with the Under favored at 51 cents. There’s a chance that the Rams’ defense will be getting a major boost this week, which could make it difficult for the Commanders to move the ball against them.

Expert Pick

I’m going with the Rams to win by over 4.5 points at 50 cents for this game. This looks like the trade with the most value at NFL prediction markets.

We’ve seen the Rams get back on track in their last two games, where they beat the Chargers 24-9 and the Raiders 35-21. This helps ease the pain off their abysmal loss vs. the Cardinals back in Week 6.

While the Commanders took care of business vs. the Eagles in Week 8 and kept it close vs. the 49ers in Week 6, this team still takes several ill-advised penalties. Head coach Dan Quinn is on the hot seat, and I’d be surprised if he remained with the team next year.

Even with Jayden Daniels playing well, the Commanders are overmatched in this game. We came into the year viewing the Rams as a superteam. While that hasn’t materialized just yet, they’re slowly rounding into form. Look for Los Angeles to take care of business here.

Rams vs Commanders Latest News

  • Rams’ edge rusher Myles Garrett has returned to practice. This gives him a chance to suit up for this game. Garrett is one of the best defensive players in the NFL, so this would be a major boost for the Rams.
  • The Commanders’ defense has been vulnerable vs. the pass this season, giving Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua a chance to cause major issues in this one.

Rams vs Commanders Market Movement

There hasn’t been much market movement for Rams vs. Commanders at prediction markets. The Rams have hovered around 66 cents for most of the lead-up to this game, while the total has been at 49-50%. I’m backing the better team in the Rams here. Look for McVay to outcoach Quinn in this spot. Quite frankly, the Commanders are one of the worst-coached teams in the NFL right now.
