In one of the most highly anticipated preseason games of the year, the Buffalo Bills host a night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers this Thursday night at Highmark Stadium. The $2.1 billion facility is still receiving its final touches, but should be ready to go for the Bills’ regular-season Thursday Night Football home opener on September 17th.
There are a lot of storylines for the Steelers and Bills, but most of those won’t go into effect until the 2026-27 NFL regular season begins. Although Josh Allen might get the official start for the Bills this Thursday night (depending on what new head coach Joe Brady decides), the former Wyoming QB will likely only play one series. Aaron Rodgers is unlikely to play at all since Mike McCarthy has a history of resting his starters during the final preseason game.
