We happen to agree with Kalshi traders. Nagging injuries to Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy have him listed as a “game-time decision” for Saturday afternoon. Couple that with the Gators’ rushing attack led by Jaden Baugh and it’s easy to see why Florida is favored to win despite the Rebels’ top-five national ranking.
Ole Miss put everything into their 32-24 “revenge” victory over Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers last week. There are legitimate questions as to whether the Rebels can avoid a “letdown” game against Florida at The Swamp. We have the Gators winning Saturday’s matchup against the Rebels by a final score of 27-21.
The University of Florida has already confirmed that Saturday will mark the 21st consecutive home sellout for a college football game. That means more than 88,500 fans (the vast majority of whom will be rooting for the home team) will pack Ben Hill Griffin Stadium with desirable weather conditions (highs around 80 degrees with no rain and a little wind) forecast throughout the game.
The team that wins will go 4-0 on the season and solidify a top-ten ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Ole Miss Rebels have a bye week coming up, while the Florida Gators will travel to Faurot Field in Columbia to take on No. 19 Missouri on October 3rd.
This goes without saying for seasoned Kalshi traders: the in-game market movements will be wild regardless of which team scores first this Saturday afternoon. Notional trading volume could surpass $50 million for this game alone if the contest remains close throughout all four quarters (and possibly overtime).
