Ravens Release Ray Rice; NFL Suspends Him Indefinitely
The Baltimore Ravens, who are still pretending they hadn't seen video of Ray Rice slugging his fiancée until this morning, despite evidence to the contrary, just announced in a one-sentence press release that they have cut Rice.
Update, 2:43 p.m. EDT: The NFL, also claiming it never saw the video, has suspended Rice indefinitely.
The Ravens have stood firmly behind Rice ever since his arrest in February, including John Harbaugh saying Rice's two-game suspension should be a good lesson for the children. And don't forget this stunning piece from Ravens PR.
Rice is still just 27 years old, and will presumably need to apply for reinstatement from the NFL should another team pick him up.
