Red Wings Prospect Arrested For Allegedly Being "Super-Drunk" While Wearing Teletubby Costume
Riley Sheahan is facing charges of being "super-drunk" after his arrest in October during which cops say the 20-year-old Detroit Red Wings prospect had a blood-alcohol content of .30 while driving and wearing a Tinky Winky costume.
Sheahan, the Wings' top draft pick in 2010, is also charged with lying to police when he allegedly claimed to be teammate Brendan Smith after being arrested October 29th in Grand Rapids, where he plays for the AHL's Griffins. The Canadian was previously arrested while a freshman playing at Notre Dame for public drunkenness.
Sheahan has three goals and two assists in 15 games so far this season for the Griffins, and is facing charges under Michigan's new "super-drunk" law designed to address drunk drivers who blow above a .17 on a breathalyzer.
