Report: Florida Man Sets Self On Fire After Cowboys Loss
Photo Credit: Ron Jenkins/ [object Object] Here’s a Florida Man story that’s just, like, a little too on the nose—a 27-year-old guy in Vero Beach who was hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns after setting himself on fire when he lost a bet on Sunday’s Packers-Cowboys game.
Per the local Sebastian Daily, the man reportedly had a bet with his wife in which the supporter of the losing team would have to burn their jersey. The Cowboys lost, 35-31, and so the guy went outside to burn his jersey. Okay. But:
He told deputies that he was drunk and tried to put the jersey on while it was burning.
Family members pulled the jersey off the man at the Vero Beach residence and rushed him to the Indian River Medical Center.
A witness told the paper, “Skin was hanging off his arm and back.” So it goes.
