Report: Texans Rookies Were Released For Smoking Weed
ESPN's Tania Ganguli is reporting that Cierre Wood, Sam Montgomery, and Willie Jefferson—the three Houston Texans rookie who were unceremoniously cut from the team yesterday—were released because they were caught smoking weed in a hotel room. [Exaggerated wanking motion].
Three unnamed sources told ESPN that marijuana use is to blame for the three players being released, but Jefferson claims that they were just smoking a cigar. Jefferson's agent told ESPN that his client is considering filing a grievance to the league office.
So three grown men are out of a job because they like to smoke weed—just like lots and lots of other NFL players!—and a clear message has been sent to the rest of the Texans roster: This is a no-nonsense organization where violations of team rules will not be tolerated (provided that those players doing the violating are expendable non-contributors). Surely the Texans will go out and run the table now.
