October is shaping up to be another consequential month for the U.S. sweepstakes casino market. Several platforms are either shutting down entirely or reducing where their sweepstakes products are available, giving players a series of deadlines to follow before the end of the month.
GiddyUp and Coin Wizard Games are winding down on separate schedules, while Baba Casino and ACE Casino are retreating from the Oklahoma sweepstakes market. The changes are different in scope, but together they illustrate how quickly the availability of these platforms can change as operators rethink individual brands and states enact new restrictions.
GiddyUp reaches a significant point in its shutdown process on Oct. 19, when access to its games is scheduled to end. Credit purchases were disabled Oct. 15, although balance withdrawals are expected to remain available until Nov. 2. Importantly, GiddyUp has described the process as a “temporary wind-down” rather than announcing a permanent closure.
That distinction leaves the platform’s longer-term future unresolved. GiddyUp has not provided a date for a possible return. The site, operated by KHK Games, differs from traditional dual-currency sweepstakes casinos because its casino-style game results are connected to horse racing outcomes and advance-deposit wagering.
That makes its departure particularly notable at a time when operators have been experimenting with structures outside the familiar Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin model.
Coin Wizard Games has a more definitive ending ahead. The Golden Hearts Games sister site will permanently close Oct. 28, only months after launching in May 2026. Gold Coin purchases have already ended, while both Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin gameplay will remain available until noon ET on Oct. 21.
After that deadline, only Gold Coin gameplay continues until noon ET on Oct. 28. Eligible users also have until that final deadline to submit redemption requests. Website and account access will then be discontinued. Unlike GiddyUp, Coin Wizard has explicitly characterized its action as a permanent closure.
The shutdown does not mean the company behind Coin Wizard is disappearing from the sweepstakes casino market. Golden Hearts Games will remain open. That makes this closure as much a story about the disappearance of an individual brand as a company leaving the business completely.
The same week will bring another change in Oklahoma. Baba Casino will end its Sweeps Coin gameplay and redemptions for Oklahoma users on Oct. 21. Its Gold Coin social casino games will remain accessible, creating a narrower state-specific withdrawal rather than a complete shutdown of the platform.
ACE Casino has taken a different approach. The platform exited Oklahoma entirely on Oct. 6, removing both its Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin options in the state. Other operators are also making changes, including Stake.us, which has informed Oklahoma users that its platform will no longer be available there beginning Oct. 30.
Those exits come ahead of Oklahoma Senate Bill 1589 taking effect Nov. 1. The measure expands the state’s gambling restrictions and includes dual-currency systems whose currency can be exchanged for prizes, cash or cash equivalents.
The legislation cleared the Oklahoma Senate 48-0 in March before passing the House 65-21 in May. Gov. Kevin Stitt vetoed the measure, but lawmakers subsequently overrode that veto. The House voted 68-19 for the override, while the Senate completed its override with a 34-10 vote.
The Oklahoma deadline adds another state-level regulatory change to a sweepstakes industry that has faced repeated adjustments during 2026. For individual players, however, the immediate story is simpler: several options available at the beginning of October either will not exist or will operate much differently by the time the month ends.
GiddyUp’s ultimate fate remains unsettled, Coin Wizard Games is permanently closing, and Baba and ACE are responding specifically to Oklahoma’s changing legal environment. Taken together, their departures make the second half of October another period of significant contraction and restructuring for the sweepstakes casino market.
