Card rips are a fairly new craze that seems to have hit the world of CCG, and it looks like Crown Coins is one of the first respected names to add the potential of pulling hits to its offerings.
The idea is that you’ll rip digital packs, reveal cards, and then decide whether to claim them, sell them, or have them shipped to you. We’ll be honest, the specifics are a little thin, but 500 Crown Coins members will get the chance to test the Beta stage of things before this launches. Exciting times are ahead.

First, those of you who have already made the most of our Crown Coins Casino review will be well aware that the site follows the no-purchase sweepstakes casino model. This additional Card Rips offering would mark their entry into mystery-box territory, and we understand that some of you may be completely new to this concept.
Fortunately, Card Rips explain themselves perfectly. In essence, you will open digital packs through the Crown Coins site, and this will then reveal a specific card. You’ll find that cards are put into tiers, with the greater value cards requiring a large initial purchase to be made. As with social casino games, outcomes are determined by an RNG or provably fair software, meaning they are completely randomized. Just like packs you would find in the shops, you can’t judge what’s inside until you rip it.

Those who have received the exclusive email from Crown Coins will find that they “gain early access to Crown Rips, where they can look to purchase virtual packs and reveal collectible trading cards”.
Each player will receive 5 Cash to use during the testing phase, and every card pulled with the 5 Cash will be available for the player to use as they wish. At Crown Coins, there are three different options after each successful pack opening.
Again, we aren’t 100% on how long this beta testing will take, how many bugs are still yet to be fixed, or whether it will prove a hit. Crown Coins is requesting feedback from current players and those specifically added to this exclusive 500-strong research group, though, so this shows they are taking things seriously and looking to get things right before it becomes available to all.
The specifics may still be a little unclear, but it is transparent that Crown Coins is working its way toward the grand unveiling of its Crown Rips feature. To kick things off, it looks as though only Pokémon and sports will be covered, but on the premise that beta testing goes well, we imagine that we won’t have to wait too long before we start seeing the addition of other popular CCG titles.
