Singapore GP Sportsbook Odds: Who’s Leading This Weekend?
Key Points
  • The Singapore GP kicks off this weekend.

  • Lando Norris is the defending Singapore GP champion.

  • Max Verstappen is coming off a win in the Azerbaijan GP.

It’s all systems go for the Singapore Grand Prix this Sunday as top drivers take on the challenging Marina Bay Street Circuit in the hopes of chasing crucial points that could make or break their Formula 1 championship aspirations.

McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are currently in first and second places in the F1 standings with 324 and 299 points, respectively, while defending champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull is following in third with 255 points. In this article, we’ll look at the favorites and dark horses for the Singapore GP according to the latest lines from the top social sportsbooks.

Top contenders for Singapore GP

Every point counts as we enter a critical stretch of the 2025 Formula 1 season, and the Singapore GP could prove decisive in the championship race. Here are the top contenders that you should consider for this weekend’s race.

DriversOdds
Oscar Piastri+206
Lando Norris+232
Max Verstappen+256

Oscar Piastri +206

The 24-year-old Piastri remains the favorite to win the Singapore GP despite his shocking first-lap exit in Baku. Piastri’s speed and consistency throughout the season have kept him atop the championship standings, and a strong showing in Singapore could quickly extend his 25-point lead over McLaren teammate Lando Norris in the standings. What I like about Piastri is that he’s exactly the kind of driver who shines on circuits that punish mistakes and require absolute control.

Tracks like Singapore have unforgiving walls and tight corners that play well to Piastri’s skill of making precise corner entries and smooth braking. It is also worth noting that the Aussie driver performed well last season at the Singapore GP by finishing third. Taking that into account, the +206 on Piastri offers plenty of juice, especially when you consider that he has consistently converted strong qualifying performances into high-scoring race results.

Lando Norris +232

Norris is another contender that you should consider for the Singapore GP. As a matter of fact, the 25-year-old British daredevil looks solid at +232, especially when you factor in the fact that he won last year’s Singapore GP. His mastery of street circuits and ability to handle tight and technical sections could give him the edge needed to challenge for the podium once again.

My only concern for Norris is his occasional tendency to overpush under pressure, which can lead to mistakes or unexpected tire wear. The thing with Norris is he sometimes lets his eagerness get the better of him, as we’ve seen in the Italian GP, where he pushed too hard in the closing laps. However, should Norris keep a cool head and execute his plan instead of forcing risky moves, he could very well turn his experience and speed into another victory.

Max Verstappen +256

Fresh off a solid win in Baku, Verstappen looks to carry that momentum in Singapore as he aims to close the gap in the championship standings. While Singapore hasn’t always played to Red Bull’s strengths, Verstappen’s consistency and experience under these conditions make him a serious contender for a podium finish. The 27-year-old Verstappen comes into this race with a car that has regained its balance and pace thanks to recent updates.

With seven races remaining and only 69 points behind championship leader Piastri, Verstappen’s focus here will be on maximizing every opportunity to close the gap. Of course, that is easier said than done, considering how limited overtaking opportunities are in the Singapore street circuit. Still, Verstappen’s ability to manage his tires and maintain consistent lap times makes him a good value bet here at +256. If Red Bull’s recent updates continue to deliver improved balance and pace, Verstappen could score another podium or even a victory here.

Where to bet on the Singapore GP this season

Dark horses for Singapore GP

Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen have consistently made to the podium in the majority of the F1 races this season, but that doesn’t mean the race is entirely predictable. As I’ve mentioned above, Singapore has a tight street circuit and challenging walls that could potentially open for unexpected performers. Here are some of the dark horse contenders for the Singapore GP.

Charles Leclerc +720

Leclerc is a +720 underdog to win the Singapore GP at social betting sites, and that line could be tempting given his driving style. In fact, I might sprinkle a few thousand Gold Coins on this line. What I like about Leclerc is his uncanny skill to extract maximum performance on tight and technical circuits similar to Singapore. Unlike other drivers on this list, the 27-year-old Leclerc uses his car’s full potential through corners while managing oversteer.

If he nails qualifying and avoids any incidents, he could easily surprise us here. Although that’s a big ask considering he hasn’t won a race this season, I just think Leclerc has the tools to make it happen in Singapore. The combination of his aggressive cornering and smooth oversteer management could see him outperform expectations.

George Russell +1625

I might get a lot of flak for saying this, but Russell at +1625 to grab the Singapore GP title is extremely disrespectful, especially when you consider the fact that he’s the only driver outside of Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen to win a Formula 1 race this season. It can be recalled that the Mercedes driver took everyone by surprise last June when he won the Canadian Grand Prix. That win showed to me that he can take advantage of chaotic races and that’s exactly what the Singapore GP is.

While Mercedes may not have the outright fastest car on the grid, they have shown to do really well when it comes to tire management and maintaining consistent lap times. Should Russell stay out of trouble and execute a clean race, he might be able to get another win at although +170 for him to make the podium is where I think the value lies.

Conclusion – Make your picks ahead of Singapore GP

Judging by the F1 standings alone, Piastri could be a solid bet to win at +206. However, his recent struggles and Singapore’s challenging course might swing the odds in favor of Norris, Verstappen, or even dark horses such as Leclerc and Russell. With so much at stake and so little room for error, expect drivers to push the pedal into the metal in what could be another nail-biting finish.
