Sportzino offers exclusive app-based rewards to its iOS app users
The app experience is an all-around improvement to the PWA experience
Sportszino recently released an iOS app, and I’ve been using the site’s social casino and sportsbook section on the app for the past few days. After more than a week of use, how good is the app compared to the PWA?
As an avid Sportzino user even before the app’s release, I’ve had extensive experience with the PWA, and it was good for the most part. It’s one of the most fluid sites for sweepstakes casino gaming and sports betting, but the app makes it even better. This guide summarizes all I discovered using the iOS app for one week.

The newly-released iOS app for Sportzino unlocks a new social and sweepstakes betting dimension for users, bringing all the benefits of a dedicated betting app. After exclusively using Sportzino from the iOS app for the better part of last week, here are some of the most important pros and cons of the recently released iOS for the social casino and sportsbook:
The Sportzino progressive web app (PWA) already impressed me, rivaling other mobile social casino and sportsbook sites. However, having a mobile app opens up an entirely new set of features, making it a superior option to most competitors. Here are some of the best features that came with the newly-launched Sportzino iOS app:
Mobile apps are generally faster and more fluid than web-based interfaces for most social casinos, and Sportzino is no exception. The app shares several similarities to the web-based version, using the same sticky bottom navigation bar and the hamburger menu at the top left. However, switching between the social casino and sportsbook feels instant on the app, while each page has to load separately on the mobile site.
To be clear, the web-based mobile version works as well as you’d expect, but if you’re making me choose between it and the new iOS app, the decision is fairly easy.
The web interface of the Sportzino sweepstakes sportsbook is famous for its fluid live streaming and betting functionality, but the app makes it ever so slightly better. From one of the smoothest picture-in-picture sports and esports live streaming to live betting with odds that change dynamically as crucial events happen during the game.
It’s largely the same experience at the end, but the slight gains from the smoother experience you get from the iOS app eventually become significant enough to be noticeable; it’s hard to describe until you try it yourself.

The Sportzino PWA used the Safari browser engine for notifications, which worked well if you left Safari running in the background (which I don’t do at all times). Moreover, if you wanted to receive notifications only from Sportzino but not from your other Safari-based PWAs, that’s simply not an option. Throw in the other frustrating restrictions of iOS PWAs, and the inferiority of the Sportzino PWA quickly becomes clear.
With the new Sportzino iOS app, I can now restrict notifications from Safari and Safari-based progressive web apps (PWAs) without missing crucial updates on my open bets. Additionally, Sportzino can now directly access more native features, bringing live updates, enhanced notifications, and a better overall experience to the social sportsbook.
While we’re yet to see this promise materialize, Sportzino is promising special app-based promotions and bonuses for iOS users who access the social sportsbook through the native app instead of the PWA. This behavior wouldn’t be unique to Sportzino—I’ve seen it with other top sweepstakes casino apps, so special app promotions aren’t exactly out of the realm of possibilities for the new app.
However, with the app being fresh out of the oven, you may need to wait before these exclusive bonuses are available. While you wait, consider exploring the existing bonuses, like the 170,000 Gold Coins + 7 Sweepstakes Coins welcome bonus or the daily login bonus.
Sportzino’s website teases an upcoming “New and Updates” section for the Sportzino iOS app, and I’m stoked to see what this new section is all about. Since it’s listed among the reasons to download the app, it’s safe to assume that the social sportsbook is considering making it exclusive to the native mobile apps.
Like with the app-based rewards, you may have to wait a bit to see if this new section is enough reason to stick to the app, but between the improved notifications and the app-based bonuses, I don’t think I need a special “News and Updates” section to switch to the iOS app.
Sportzino published its iOS mobile app directly to the App Store for iOS, so you should have no problems installing the app directly from your phone’s App Store. If you’re unable to find or install it, you’re likely below the required age to access sweepstakes casino apps, or you live in an unsupported location.
You can always find a direct link to the App Store through the Sportzino website if you’re certain neither of the following scenarios applies to you. Once you’re past the installation stage, you can simply sign up for an account in Sportzino like you would on the website of a progressive web app to start playing.
Sportzino’s new iOS app is a refreshing new update to the social sportsbooks mobile betting experience. From app-based exclusive bonuses to enhanced live betting and streaming on the app, there are a truckload of reasons to switch to the new app today.
Moreover, switching is mostly a piece of cake: simply install the app from the App Store, sign up or login with your account and you’re in!
