Acorn Fun has provided us with hours of entertainment, but that doesn’t mean it will be the perfect match for you. To help, we’ve been busy building reviews of the best Acorn Fun alternatives for you to check out today.
As you read on, you will discover the best sites like Acorn Fun that manage to pick up where this social casino falls short. We highlight the best alternatives for those on the hunt for bigger bonuses, lower redemption limits, larger gaming lobbies, and everything in between to ensure that you leave today having found your perfect match.
Acorn Fun hasn’t landed itself towards the top of our list of sweepstakes casinos this month, but that doesn’t mean it should be avoided. The site itself has an impressive new customer, offering a fair selection of Vegas-style slots, but it does fall short in a few other key areas.
We will go over this in more detail while highlighting the best social casinos that manage to pick up where Acorn Fun fell short. However, this does include a few issues surrounding prize redemptions. Not only did we find that Acorn Fun has a higher minimum limit of 100 SC, but we also discovered that fees may be applied and that redemption times are much longer than the competition’s.
Alongside a higher prize redemption limit, we also found that there is a 20x playthrough cap on your Sweeps Coins, meaning that they will be deemed ineligible if played through more than twenty times. Although a daily cap of 10,000 SC (5,000 SC in FL) is placed on your Sweeps Coins already, this indirectly places a separate limit on the size of your prize redemptions.
Just about all new sweepstakes casinos will look to invite you online with the potential to claim a huge new customer offer. In truth, this is no different at Acorn Fun, where we found that you can soon add 77,777 Gold Coins and 0.3 Sweeps Coins to your new player account.
While 77,777 Gold Coins is great for those of you who are looking to get familiar with the site, test strategies, or otherwise enjoy things with fun as your focus, 0.3 Sweeps Coins is poor.
Based on our latest review, most casino-style slots available have a minimum spin limit of 0.1 Sweeps Coins, meaning Acorn Fun is effectively offering you a maximum of 3 spins in the promotional mode.
For us, this simply isn’t good enough. After all, the main reason for many of you joining is to play the best free slots with real money prizes as your focus, and this gives you a terrible start. Fortunately, it didn’t take us long to find a top alternative in the shape of Dara Casino.
As established, you can kick things off at Acorn Fun with 77,777 Gold Coins and 0.3 Sweeps Coins. However, if you are after a little extra, then we can recommend checking out Dara Casino. Here, we soon found that we could get our hands on 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins, allowing you to soon filter through 100+ social gaming titles that included arcade-style fish games. Live support is another positive of this alternative to Acorn Fun, allowing you to receive responses around the clock. We also found that those of you playing with Sweeps Coins will have the potential to complete prize redemptions with just 100 SC in your account.
If you are quite happy with the size of the Acorn Fun welcome bonus, then Acorn Fun may still be a top option for you. However, should you wish to make prize redemptions, bear in mind that you will also need a minimum of 100 Sweeps Coins that have been won through gameplay to get the ball rolling.
Although this minimum limit comes with a competitive 1x requirement, we did find that verification checks are quite lengthy. While this has its perks and shows a clear focus on player safety, it seems that other users have commented on repeat verifications when requesting larger redemptions. In turn, this has led to delays of up to 30 days.
Additionally, it seems that Acorn Fun requests that you receive prize redemptions using the same method used to make any Gold Coin purchase. If not, it has been mentioned that initial fees are put in place. Although we didn’t find this directly, it is something to bear in mind before starting the process. Should this be enough to consider an alternative to Acorn Fun, rest assured that Stake.us and RealPrize have you covered.
Stake.us is the first of two alternatives we believe to have a better minimum redemption limit. At Stake.us, we found that you can redeem prizes from as little as 30 Stake Cash; however, you’ll have to bear in mind that a 3x playthrough requirement is attached. To help you along the way, we also have an exclusive bonus code (DEADSPIN) for you to enter at the sign-up stage. Once entered, you’ll find that you can claim up to 560,000 Gold Coins, 56 Stake Cash, and 5% rakeback over your first 30 days online. Throughout, you can also make the most of raffles, login bonuses, and ongoing missions. Not to mention that Stake.us has one of the most complete gaming lobbies, featuring well over 1,500 titles.
RealPrize is another top choice for those of you looking at inclusive prize redemption limits. Here, we found that you can pass verification checks, select gift cards, and redeem from 40 SC. This does, however, rise to 100 SC when considering cash prizes, effectively matching the limit of Acorn Fun. Of course, it isn’t just fair redemption limits that help RealPrize stand out. We also find 700+ casino-style games, a huge new customer offer, and a stream of ongoing rewards. The welcome bonus is currently set at 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins, and you’ll find that a daily login bonus, daily missions, refer-a-friend bonus, and perks from a VIP program are ready and waiting for you.
At the time of writing, you can expect to find just over 400 social gaming titles at Acorn Fun. Compared with many, this isn’t a poor showing. However, when you consider that the bulk of the games fall under the same (or similar) gaming header, you will find that alternatives have much more to offer.
Vegas-style slots are the most popular gaming titles, but we think that Acorn Fun has forgotten that they aren’t the only way for you to play. We spotted a handful of table games and variations of social slots, including buy-ins, Hold & Wins, and jackpots, but the lobby is missing some basics.
Sites like Acorn Fun have managed to introduce dedicated table games sections, Crash titles, Slingo, Bingo, and just about everything in between. Not to mention that you can also join the live croupiers at most top sites and enjoy roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and game shows in real time. In truth, we could have selected numerous alternatives, but Sweeps Royal stole the show.
Sweeps Royal is the best alternative to Acorn Fun, when considering its casino-style gaming lobby. It is here that we found you could get the experience underway with 50,000 Gold Coins and 1 Sweeps Coins before filtering through 2,800+ casino-style games. At Sweeps Royal, you will find everything from Vegas-style slots to fish games, powered by big names like Evolution, KA Gaming, and NoLimit City. Plinko was our personal favorite, but you can start to build your own list within minutes. For those playing with Sweeps Coins, a competitive 100 SC prize redemption limit is also in place.
Acorn Fun has been designed with desktop users in mind. It currently lacks a mobile app, but does offer its services through your mobile browser.
We would say that things have loosely been optimized to suit the smaller screens, but the site design needs a little work. When you first land on-site, it looks as though the site has just been stretched to fit. This makes the text appear really small and icons almost impossible to view.
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll find that a neat table is then displayed in the footer, and both images and text appear more accessible. However, we then found that games take a little longer to load, the main menu has little to offer, and Gold Coin purchase pop-ups keep flooding the screen. Fortunately, we found that Lonestar manages to tick the right boxes.
Like Acorn Fun, Lonestar has yet to launch a mobile app. However, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t deserve its position as the best mobile-friendly alternative. Based on our most recent review, we found that all the benefits of the desktop site transferred over seamlessly, allowing you to claim offers, play games, and redeem prizes with ease. The lobby itself is packed with great games from Kalamba, Red Tiger, and more. Not to mention that regular new releases are consistently dropping. We also found that you can claim 100,000 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweeps Coins as a new recruit. This is then soon followed by birthday bonuses, daily logins, social media giveaways, and additional perks from the VIP program. Support is 24/7, and redemptions can be completed from 45 SC (gift cards) or 100 SC (cash prizes).
