VegasBuilder puts an unusual spin on sweepstakes gaming, combining almost 700 casino-style games with a separate city-building experience. That won’t suit everyone. Here, we explain how it all works, where it falls short, and five alternatives to VegasBuilder that may offer you a better mix of games, rewards, mobile play, and prize redemptions.
VegasBuilder falls under the sweepstakes umbrella; however, the approach is already quite different from the standard Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin structure you may have encountered at similar sweepstakes sites. The easiest way to understand VegasBuilder is to look at its two separate experiences.
First, there is Builder Mode. Here, you use Builder Spins (virtual credits) to collect items, improve buildings, and develop your own virtual version of Las Vegas. This is the entertainment-only side of the platform, and the items you collect hold no cash value.
Then, there is the casino-style lobby. Vegas Coins (VC) are used here – the equivalent of Sweeps Coins. Eligible VC can be used for promotional play, with qualifying winnings later contributing towards prize redemptions.
This means you won’t find a traditional fun-play virtual token comparable with Gold Coins, as you would at most other sweepstakes casinos. If you want to play the casino-style games here, you are effectively entering the sweepstakes side of the experience from the off. Builder Spins are reserved for the separate city-building game.
As a new member, you can soon look to receive 10 Builder Spins and 1 free Vegas Coin when opening an account. VegasBuilder also presents a first-purchase offer during your opening hour, with 250 Builder Spins and 25 VC as the headline package. Let us just mention that any purchases are still optional.
The social casino library itself has already grown beyond 680 titles. Casino-style slots make up a large part of the selection, but you will also find live dealer blackjack, baccarat and roulette, alongside crash games and instant-win titles.
Ongoing rewards include a daily VegasBuilder Wheel, which we found to award between 0.05 and 0.5 free VC, along with 20 free Builder Spins every day. There is also a mail-in route worth 2.5 VC per valid entry and a referral program that can release 200 Builder Spins and 20 VC once the referred member meets the required conditions.
VegasBuilder deserves credit for trying something different. However, that different approach also creates some of the strongest reasons to consider choosing an alternative from our latest list of new social casinos.
This is arguably the biggest difference. At just about all social casinos, you can switch between entertainment-only Gold Coin play and promotional SC play (or equivalent) while accessing essentially the same casino lobby. VegasBuilder doesn’t work that way.
Builder Spins are entertainment-only, but they belong to the city-building game. If you want to play VegasBuilder’s slots, live tables, crash games, or other casino-style releases, you need Vegas Coins.
For experienced sweepstakes players, this isn’t necessarily a problem. However, to get used to the social casino format, newcomers may prefer the familiar Gold Coin system offered by the likes of LoneStar and Stake.us.
VegasBuilder’s prize redemption limits are a little higher than the average, too. Based on our recent visit, you must reach at least 100 VC before you can get things under way. This 100 VC minimum isn’t especially high, but the lack of alternative options gives other sites the edge.
This is especially true of those who like the idea of instant redemptions via PrizeOut (gift cards). Over at McLuck, you’ll find that this type of redemption starts from just 10 SC. LoneStar is also competitive at 45 SC, and Crown Coins starts gift cards at 50 SC.
The browser-based version of VegasBuilder works well across compatible smartphones and tablets, but no standalone app is currently available.
This may not matter if you are happy playing through Chrome, Safari, or another mobile browser. However, if you like the ease of opening an app directly from your home screen, McLuck and Crown Coins provide stronger alternatives right now.
You won’t currently find a tiered VegasBuilder loyalty program. As already evidenced, you will find ongoing rewards, daily Builder Spins, the VegasBuilder Wheel, referrals, quests, and other promotions, but there is no traditional VIP ladder that gradually unlocks improved perks as your activity increases.
That may change as the platform matures. For now, McLuck, Crown Coins, Stake.us, and MyPrize.US all provide more developed loyalty structures.
You could argue that this is a positive, and it doesn’t make the site less legitimate, but it does mean that it has a much shorter track record than alternatives such as Crown Coins, Stake.us, and McLuck.
For some of you, being early to a new platform is part of the fun. Others may prefer a social casino that has had several years to expand its library, refine its mobile product, and establish itself within the market.
That covers the reasons why you may want to search for an alternative to VegasBuilder. Now, just before we provide you with a closer look at this month’s top five social casinos in depth, let us offer you a snapshot of how VegasBuilder compares.

VegasBuilder’s combination of casino-style games and city building is unusual, so you won’t find a perfect copy elsewhere. What you will find are alternatives that improve on specific parts of the experience.
Crown Coins is a natural starting point if VegasBuilder’s current setup feels unnecessarily complicated. Instead of separating entertainment and casino play into two completely different experiences, Crown Coins uses Crown Coins for standard play and Sweeps Coins for promotional gaming. New members currently collect 100,000 Crown Coins and 2 SC for simply creating an account.
The gaming library has also developed well. You’ll now find more than 700 slots, putting Crown Coins slightly ahead of VegasBuilder on game count. Daily rewards, missions, referrals, social media promotions, and a seven-level VIP club add plenty for returning members, too.
Crown Coins also has a dedicated iOS app. Android users can install a progressive web app, meaning VegasBuilder isn’t quite as convenient if mobile gaming forms a big part of your routine. Prize redemption limits are split. Gift cards start at 50 eligible SC, while cash prizes require 100 SC. That means the cash prize redemption threshold matches VegasBuilder, but Crown Coins gives you a lower route through gift cards.
LoneStar makes most sense if you want to strip things back. There is no city-building game to learn and no second interpretation of the promotional token.
Here, you get Gold Coins for standard play and Sweeps Coins for promotional gameplay, just as you would expect at a conventional sweepstakes casino. Registration currently adds 100,000 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweeps Coins to a new account, which is more than enough to get you started.
The library contains more than 500 games from developers including NetEnt and Relax Gaming. It is smaller than VegasBuilder’s 680+ selection, but the difference isn’t enormous, and you still have slots, instant wins, table titles, and a variety of familiar releases to explore.
LoneStar also becomes interesting when you reach the redemption stage. Eligible gift cards begin at 45 SC, while cash prizes start from 100 SC.
VegasBuilder may have its own city-building game, but Stake.us approaches engagement from a completely different angle. This includes community features like chat, rolling promotions, raffles, bonus drops, competitions, and a developed VIP system.
The casino library is considerably larger, too. Currently, you’ll find more than 2,000 games, including social slots, video poker, live titles, and a dedicated selection of Stake Originals. These in-house games give Stake.us its own identity without separating you into an entirely different city-building mode.
The current signup offer is another major difference. Enter our exclusive code (bonus-code operator=2512) when registering, and you can collect 25 Stake Cash and 250,000 Gold Coins, followed by 10,000 GC and 1 SC through the ongoing daily reward.
There is a trade-off, though. Stake Cash carries a higher playthrough requirement (3x) than the 1x condition used by VegasBuilder, so you should bear that in mind before kicking things off.
McLuck solves two of VegasBuilder’s most obvious weaknesses in one go.
First, there are native mobile apps available through both the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you currently use VegasBuilder through your mobile browser and would rather have a dedicated app, McLuck is one of the clearest alternatives.
Then we have redemptions. VegasBuilder requires at least 100 eligible SC before you can request a prize. McLuck sets its cash-prize redemption minimum at 75 SC and goes considerably lower for gift cards, which begin at just 10 SC.
The differences extend to the gaming library. McLuck currently offers more than 1,700 casino-style titles, placing it well ahead of VegasBuilder’s 680+ selection. The drawback is McLuck’s smaller welcome bonus of 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweeps Coins, but this is soon rectified by its eight-tier VIP program, daily rewards, tournaments, social jackpots, referrals, and social media promotions.
MyPrize.US is the alternative to consider if VegasBuilder appeals to you because you want something beyond a standard casino lobby.
VegasBuilder gives you Builder Mode, allowing you to develop your own virtual Las Vegas. MyPrize.US instead builds a community around creators, livestreams, shared rooms, chat, and multiplayer social features.
You still get the familiar sweepstakes structure underneath it all. New members joining via our link will receive 50,000 Gold Coins, 5 Sweeps Cash, and 10 free spins after registration and email verification. This opens the door to a huge gaming library, set apart by its selection of MyPrize Originals.
Then there are MyPrize Packs. This separate collectibles focus allows you to open digital packs containing genuine physical trading cards. Once your individual card is revealed, you can choose to have it shipped or sell it back according to the sellback rules.
That makes MyPrize.US particularly interesting if you like the idea behind VegasBuilder – a social casino offering more than a collection of slots – but city building isn’t really your thing.
As VegasBuilder isn’t a conventional social casino, the comparison needs to go much further than simply counting games and how quickly you get yourself signed up. Here, you’ll see what we considered before piecing our reviews together.
Choosing the right site is only one piece of the puzzle. Once you have registered, there are a few things worth taking on board to help boost the experience.
One limitation of VegasBuilder is that its entertainment-only Builder Spins don’t let you test the social casino lobby. At Crown Coins, LoneStar, Stake.us, McLuck, and MyPrize.US, you can use these fun-only virtual tokens to explore eligible casino-style games without dipping into your SC pots.
Compare redemption types, not just the headline number: A 100 SC cash minimum redemption limit doesn’t necessarily make one site worse than another. VegasBuilder may have a high entry point, but it also has very fast processing. McLuck lets you request gift cards at 10 SC but has a higher limit of 75 SC is in place for cash. Decide what type of prize you actually want before comparing the numbers.
Check playthrough requirements: Receiving SC doesn’t automatically make those virtual tokens redeemable. VegasBuilder requires eligible SC to complete a 1x playthrough. Crown Coins, LoneStar, McLuck, and MyPrize.US also apply these qualifying conditions before prize redemption. At Stake.us, however, you will be expected to meet a 3x requirement.
Consider the RTP of chosen games: When playing with your virtual tokens, it pays to do a little digging. Yes – you should be choosing games that are fun and suit your preferred themes, but it is also worth looking at the Return to Player (RTP) percentage. This figure isn’t a guarantee of how your games will play out, but it does give you an idea of how things could look, based on thousands of spins before you.

VegasBuilder has done a good job of avoiding the copy-and-paste approach that appears across parts of the social casino market. Instead of simply handing you Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, it combines more than 680 casino-style games with a separate Builder Mode where you develop a virtual Las Vegas.
Daily Builder Spins, the VegasBuilder Wheel, referrals, mail-in entries, and exceptionally quick redemption processing add further to its ratings. However, being different doesn’t automatically make it suitable for everyone, and some top alternatives can soon pick up the slack.
Crown Coins gives you a traditional model, a selection of exclusive games, and an established loyalty program. LoneStar keeps things simple while lowering the gift card redemption limit. Stake.us provides more than 2,000 games, a busier community, and our exclusive bonus code (DEADSPIN) helps you to get things off to a flying start. McLuck adds native apps and 10 SC gift card redemptions. MyPrize.US takes the entertainment side in another direction with streams and social rooms for all to enjoy.
VegasBuilder combines a casino-style sweepstakes lobby with a separate city-building game. Builder Spins are used to develop your virtual city, while Vegas Coins are used for promotional social casino action and can contribute towards eligible prize redemptions.
No. VegasBuilder currently operates through desktop and mobile browsers and has neither a native app nor a progressive web app. This is just one of the reasons why an alternative may be a better option for some of you.
No. VegasBuilder is a sweepstakes casino, meaning you can look to enjoy all aspects of the site without needing to spend a dime. Of course, you can make a purchase to unlock Builder Spins, but this is completely optional.
