Luka Dončić Suffers Through What Must Surely Be The Worst Game Of His Career<em></em>
An hour or so before his Spurs went out and beat the Dallas Mavericks, Gregg Popovich described rookie sensation Luka Dončić as “a beautiful basketball player” and “a consummate basketball player” who “does everything.” In repayment for these lovely compliments, Dončić went out and played what he wi...
Pissbaby James Dolan Goes On The Radio And Whines About Everything<em></em>
It’s time once again to check in on James Dolan, the infamously oversensitive and multiply delusional owner of the godawful New York Knicks. Dolan went on The Michael Kay Show today to address an incident on Saturday in which he demanded a Knicks fan be thrown out of the arena after the fan told Dol...
The Chud Who Heckled Russell Westbrook Has Been Permanently Banned From Jazz Games
A Utah Jazz fan named Shane Keisel became famous last night when he heckled Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook, goading Westbrook into a profane and threatening response. The Utah Jazz announced today that Keisel has been permanently banned from the team’s home arena, due to the “excessive...

Russell Westbrook To Heckling Jazz Fans: "I'll Fuck You Up. You And Your Wife." [Update]
It’s safe to say that Russell Westbrook and fans of the Utah Jazz have a bit of a strained relationship. That tension was taken to new heights on Monday when video surfaced of the Thunder point guard getting into it with someone in the stands of Vivint Smart Home Arena. The vertical video shows West...
Report: The Lakers Actually Wanted Good Players Instead Of The Bad Players They Signed
LeBron James’s first campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers has been an unmitigated disaster. Now that the team has nothing left to do but pack it in and wait for next season to start, it’s time for those within the organization to start assigning some blame in an effort to save their own skin....
The Warriors Had Another Weird One, And Now It's Time To Read Steve Kerr's Lips
The Warriors added to a very odd and possibly concerning stretch of games last night with a 115-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns, who really stink. This loss followed a 122-105 demolition of the Nuggets on Friday night that was supposed to signal a return to form, as it was preceded by an embarrassing 3...
Derrick Jones Jr. Easily Could Have Dunked This Alley-Oop On A 12-Foot Rim
You have two options when you’re down over 20 points at home against one of top teams in your conference with less than three minutes remaining: you can run out the clock and mentally move on to the next game like a coward, or you can use the open floorspace and lax defense to pull off some gravity-...
Paul George Believes The Thunder "Haven’t Gotten A Fair Whistle All Year"<em></em>
The Thunder accomplished a rare feat in their 118-110 loss to the Clippers on Friday that they probably won’t think fondly of when the season finally ends for them. For the second time in the past 10 seasons, three starters fouled out before the end of regulation: Paul George, Russell Westbrook and ...
Adrian Dantley Returned To The Site Of A Legendary Prep Hoops Debacle, This Time As A Kids' Rec League Ref
Adrian Dantley just refereed my son Eddie’s rec league game. An NBA all-timer and maybe the best little big man in the history of the game, working a weeknight seventh-grade playoff at D.C.’s Jelleff Recreation Center....
Report: The Lakers Are Giving Up
This has been an awfully shocking season for LeBron James and his Lakers, and it’s only getting worse, as L.A. currently sits 6.5 games out of the playoffs, having lost eight of their last ten. Still, this team hadn’t fully packed it in yet, or at least “sources” told Shams Charania on Wednesday tha...
Andrew Wiggins Update: Ah, Hm, Well, The Thing Is
First, the good news! Fifth-year forward Andrew Wiggins, the former first overall pick in the draft, has more points (1,038 so far) than shot attempts (966) on the season. That was not the case the last time we visited our pal Andrew, back at the end of November, when he was on track to join the sma...
The Pistons Are Really Trying To Make Me Fall For This Again
Remember when the Detroit Pistons waived Josh Smith in December of 2014, suddenly rattled off seven straight wins, and went 12-3 over the next 15 games? Then they finished the season in 12th place in the East....
Gordon Hayward Almost Gave The Game Away, Then Hit The Game-Winner
With 7.6 seconds left and a 109-106 lead against the Kings Wednesday night, Gordon Hayward committed a cardinal sin of NBA defense: he fouled a three-point shooter. The contact was soft, but Buddy Hield got himself to the line for three shots and tied the game up, leaving the Celtics without any tim...
This Is Maybe The Most Depressing Play Of LeBron's Entire Career
The Lakers lost again Wednesday night, their fourth loss in a row, and eighth in ten games. Since January 1 they’re a crummy 9–19, and they’re now five games under .500 with 17 left to play, and 6.5 back of the Western Conference eighth seed. They’re dead....
Students Protest At Tennessee Basketball Game After School's Weak Response To Blackface Photo
Around 40 or 50 students from the University of Tennessee showed up Tuesday night to the Volunteers’ men’s basketball game against Mississippi State, and protested how the school handled, or didn’t handle, a recent blackface photo involving four people all believed to be UT students....
Everyone Has Issues, But, Finally, So Do The Warriors
For those of us who revel in kneejerk stupid on a daily basis, so, for everyone, the NBA is the perfect training ground for any anti-PhD candidates. Every game is a daily rectal thermometer to be wielded as a way to measure teams’ futures, with the benefit of that being that each subject is an endle...
Hmm, Maybe The Warriors With DeMarcus Cousins Aren't Invincible After All
There’s still time for Golden State’s all-All-NBA five-man lineup to coalesce into the world-vaporizing unit it appears to be on paper, but a few terrifying stretches aside that hasn’t happened yet. Inserting DeMarcus Cousins into their rotation has so far been a bit of a negative for the Warriors, ...
Turns Out Karl-Anthony Towns Is Still Pretty Good
It’s wild to remember that this time last season the Timberwolves were cruising to 47 wins in a deeper Western Conference, headed for their first playoff appearance in 14 years. With Jimmy Butler reunited with head coach Tom Thibodeau, and Karl-Anthony Towns ascending, and Andrew Wiggins uhh making ...
Patrick Beverley Buried The Lakers On The Court Then Spit On Their Grave<em></em>
After last night’s loss to their co-tenant Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers are 2-5 since LeBron James activated his “playoff intensity level,” a spell that means they’re probably super dead. As losses go, this one was perfectly emblematic of how the entire season has gone for both L.A. clubs; the L...
