Cops: Two Miami Players Admit Sex Assault On "Physically Helpless" Teen

Two Miami linebackers, Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue, have been arrested and charged with sexual battery after admitting to raping a "mentally or physically incapacitated" 17-year-old girl in a campus dorm over the weekend.

In the early morning hours of July 5, according to the police report, Figueroa and Blue,

"without prior knowledge of consent of (victim), administered or had knowledge of someone else administering to (victim) a narcotic, anesthetic, or other intoxicating substance that mentally or physically incapacitated victim.

"The Defendant and Co-defendant then committed an act upon victim in which the sexual oran of the (defendants) penetrated and had union with the anus, vagina, and mouth of the victim. The victim was physically helpless to resist."

The victim reported the crime to campus police, and early this morning Figueroa and Blue turned themselves in for arrest by Coral Gables police. Both admitted to "performing sexual acts on the victim without her consent."

Figueroa and Blue, both 20, have been kicked off the football team and suspended from school, said Miami AD Blake James:

"Earlier today, I permanently dismissed JaWand Blue and Alexander Figueroa from the UM football team," James said in a statement. "The University has also suspended the students from school and barred them from all campus facilities while the University conducts an internal investigation and continues to cooperate with local law enforcement."
