Watch Rutgers Get Absolutely Screwed By The Refs (Updated)
In the Big East tournament, Rutgers was just victimized by a historically bad no-call (that immediately followed up two fairly egregious no-calls against them). Trying to run the clock out, the St. John's player traveled, stepped out of the bounds, and chucked the ball into the seats with nearly two seconds left. No whistle. Game over.
Give ESPN's broadcast crew credit for rightly blasting the officiating. This one was bad.
UPDATE: The Big East has released a one-paragraph statement acknowledging that two calls were missed - traveling and Brownlee stepping out of bounds. They say those calls are not reviewable under NCAA rules and the result will stand.
